摘要： A method for determining availability of a conference room is disclosed. The method comprises transporting a mobile device into a conference room by a user wherein the conference room has an RFID tag, a conference room number, and is identified in a reservation system. The method further includes utilizing the mobile device to retrieve a conference room number by scanning the RFID tag within the conference room. Next, the mobile device is utilized to query the reservation system. The method further comprises determining whether the conference room is currently reserved. Next, the mobile device is utilized to alert the user if the reservation system indicates that the conference room is currently reserved.

摘要： An air travel system preferably uses an airport terminal or concourse that includes at least one regional aircraft boarding pier and at least one boarding bridge for larger aircraft. The regional aircraft boarding pier includes a primary passenger bridge extending from the airport terminal or concourse; a pier hub connected to the primary passenger bridge; and a plurality of secondary passenger bridges connected to, and extending from, the hub. Each secondary passenger bridge has a docking end for docking with a regional aircraft. A method of operating this air travel system includes boarding a passenger on a regional aircraft by sending the passenger through the regional aircraft boarding pier. This may be before or after the passenger also uses a boarding bridge to board a larger aircraft which is a connecting flight in the passenger's travel itinerary. This method allows the passenger to transfer between regional and larger aircraft within a single airport concourse or terminal.

摘要： The present invention provides an assembly for assisting in the construction of a pier. The assembly includes a base, an extension pole, and a collar. The base is adapted to rest on the lake floor. The extension pole is connected to the base and is of a sufficient length to extend above the water surface. The collar is mounted to the extension pole and supports a portion of the pier while an additional pier section is secured to support beams. The assembly is capable of being maneuvered without assistance, because the assembly provides structural support during construction of a pier, without requiring a user to actively support parts of the pier while in the water.
