Abstract:
The newspaper provider stores a set of multimedia information about a specific news in a news web site. Then on the printed newspaper, a specific one-dimensional barcode identifying the corresponding set of multimedia information is printed alongside the specific news. When the newspaper reader is interested in learning more about the specific news, the reader uses a barcode reader connected to a computer to scan the one-dimensional barcode. The scanned barcode is sent to the news web site via Internet. The news web site uses the scanned barcode to locate and transmit the specific news' set of multimedia information to the computer where its text and video part is displayed on a display device and its audio part is played through a speaker.
Abstract:
A horizontal axis wind turbine (HAWT) includes: a tower, a rotor rotatably mounted on an upper portion of the tower, an upper crank unit mounted in an upper portion of the tower and operatively rotated by the rotor, a lower crank unit mounted in a lower portion of the tower and linked to the upper crank unit to be driven and rotated by the upper crank unit, a kinetic-force conversion apparatus connected to and rotatably driven by the lower crank unit to convert the kinetic energy to an output electricity, and a nacelle secured to a lower portion of the tower for mounting the kinetic-force conversion apparatus in the nacelle, with the nacelle approximating to the tower bottom for enhancing stability and safety of the HAWT, and also for reducing the installation, operation and maintenance cost of the HAWT.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an electricity generation device using hot gas engine. The device contains a closed container filled with high-pressure gas. The container has an outlet which is connected to a pneumatic or hydraulic cylinder. Hot and cold fluids are sprayed alternatively and repeatedly into the closed container to heat up or cool down the high-pressure gas. As the high-pressure gas expands or contracts, a piston rod of the cylinder is pushed and pulled back and forth so as to produce electricity continuously.
Abstract:
A horizontal axis wind turbine with rotatable tower including nacelle and blades. The tower, the blades, and the nacelle are rotatable by following the shift of wind direction so as to align the blades to be facing with the wind direction for enhancing performances thereof. Also can eliminate the gearbox, as compared to the conventional horizontal axis wind turbine that the nacelle is not completely fixed with tower, the present invention is easy to manufacture with reduced costs.
