摘要： An apparatus and a method for transmitting uplink feedback data in a broadband wireless mobile communication are provided. The method comprises dividing tiles used as a feedback channel into a preset number of groups, selecting one group among the preset number of groups using a downlink channel, selecting a number of tiles, the number of tiles being equal to a number of tiles required for feedback data transmission in the selected group, and mapping feedback data to each selected tile. Thereby, feedback information can be transmitted via a tile selected by a terminal based on a channel state without a process of allocating and reallocating an additional feedback channel, thus enhancing efficiency of uplink wireless resources.

摘要： An apparatus for transmitting/receiving a signal in a communication system is provided. A Mobile Station (MS) spreads a transmission signal to generate a spreading signal, receives, from a Base Station (BS), information on a second spreading signal transmission region, extended from a first spreading signal transmission region, and maps the generated spreading signal to a subcarrier in the second spreading signal transmission region. A Base Station (BS) transmits information on a second spreading signal transmission region extended from a first spreading signal transmission region, for reception of a spreading signal, receives a spreading signal mapped to subcarriers over the second spreading signal transmission region, from an Mobile Station (MS), detects a spreading signal from the spread signal mapped to the subcarriers, and despreads the detected spreading signal to restore a transmission signal.

The method includes determining a number of frames for configuring one multi-frame, wherein the number is at least two, and configuring each of the determined number of frames, wherein the determined number of frames include a first frame and a second frame temporally discriminated from each other, each of the determined number of frames includes a downlink sub-frame and an uplink sub-frame, a downlink sub-frame of the first frame includes a first area for transmitting a reference signal used for an acquisition of synchronization between a base station and a mobile station, a second area including system information and common control information related to the multi-frame, a third area including modulation scheme information and allocation information of data bursts, a fourth area to which a downlink data burst is allocated in a diversity mode and a fifth area to which a downlink data burst is allocated in a band Adaptive Modulation and Coding (AMC) mode, and a downlink sub-frame of the second frame includes a sixth area including modulation scheme information and allocation information of data bursts, a seventh area to which a data burst is allocated in a diversity mode, and an eighth area to which a data burst is allocated in an AMC mode.

摘要： A method and apparatus for transmitting and receiving MAP information in a communication system are provided. A base station acquires channel quality information of each mobile station, generates sub-MAPs using MAP information, to which at least one of a coding scheme, a modulation scheme and a repetition scheme is applied, separately for each mobile station according to the channel quality information, and transmits the generated sub-MAPs. A mobile station receives MAP information from the base station, detects a sub-MAP allocated to the mobile station from the received MAP information, and restores the detected sub-MAP to MAP information using at least one of a corresponding decoding scheme, demodulation scheme and repetition scheme corresponding to coding scheme, modulation scheme and repetition scheme applied in the base station, based on channel quality information of the mobile station. Accordingly, system overhead can be reduced.

摘要： Provided is an apparatus and method for estimating an uplink frequency offset in a wireless communication system. In a receiving apparatus of a wireless communication system using a random access channel composed of two equivalent sequences, the apparatus includes a channel receiver which extracts samples corresponding to the two sequences from an input random access channel signal; a correlator which computes first and second correlation values by correlating preceding and trailing samples among the samples output from the channel receiver with a predetermined sequence; and a frequency offset estimator which estimates a frequency offset by using a ratio of the second correlation value to the first correlation value output from the correlator.
