摘要： A modular belt constructed of belt modules having a large open area, making the belt suitable for use as a traveling water screen. The modules include an intermediate portion composed of intersecting sets of link elements and transverse elements that form a gridlike pattern. Openings bounded by the walls of consecutive link elements and transverse elements form channels through the belt for the flow of water. The modules are connected together by hinge rods to form a belt that can be used as a water screen. Detachable flights or scoops for lifting debris or fish out of a stream are attachable to base modules.

摘要： A modular plastic conveyor belt having an A-shaped edge portion in belt edge modules along each belt row for tight collapse of the belt at the inside of a turn. The A-shaped region comprises two alternating series of laterally spaced links, each extending from opposite ends of the edge module. Each of the first series of links forms an acute angle measured clockwise from the direction of belt travel. Each of the second series of links forms an acute angle measured counterclockwise from the direction of belt travel. The angles decrease monotonically with distance inward of the first side of the belt edge. Laterally extending webs join the ends of consecutive converging links along an end of the module. The lateral extent of the webs increases monotonically inward from a first side edge of the belt. A cross bars extends between each pair of web-joined links. First cross bars between links joined at a first end of the module lie along a first imaginary line; second cross bars between links joined at an opposite second end of the module lie along a second imaginary line. The two imaginary lines converge inward from the first side edge of the belt to form deeper gaps toward the first side edge for tighter belt collapse at the inside of a turn.

摘要： A self-clearing article-transfer plate for a conveyor system. The plate is disposed between an upstream article feeder, such as a conveyor belt supplying a stream of conveyed articles, and a downstream article receiver, such as a takeaway belt or an accumulation table. The plate may have a tapered edge or a fingered edge at a first end for receiving articles from the article feeder. Backpressure from the stream of articles pushes the articles onto, across, and off a second opposite end of the plate onto the article receiver. When the stream of articles stops or is interrupted, the last articles in the stream are urged along the plate from the first end to the second end by vibrations from a vibrator affixed to a support for the plate. In this way, articles are cleared from the plate, without being stranded, even in the absence of backpressure.

The conveyor belt is constructed of a series of rows of side-by-side belt modules hingedly interconnected end to end by hinge pins through interleaved hinge eyes of adjacent rows. Selected modules are base modules that include upstanding members extending from intermediate module structure. Belt attachments, such as flights, include depending connection members with shank portions that interleave with the upstanding members of the base module. One or more aligned apertures through the interleaved connection members and upstanding members form passageways across the base modules for connecting pins that hold the attachment to one or more base modules.
