摘要: Methods and apparatuses are described herein for Multi cast/Broadcast Services (MBS). The embodiments described herein are directed to procedures for managing multiplexed MBS traffic, for prioritization between MBS related UL traffic, unicast UL traffic, and SL traffic, for handling HARQ retransmissions over C-RNTI, to support PDCP Status Reporting for MBS services, and for a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) joining already started/activated Multicast Sessions. In one example, a WTRU may receive multiplexed MBS services via one or more MBS radio bearers (MRB) and/or one or more unicast data radio bearers (DRBs). The WTRU may be configured with a single Service Data Adaptation Protocol (SDAP) entity for the MBS services, and demultiplexing of traffic may be performed at the SDAP layer. The WTRU may be configured to demultiplex multiple logical channels across different MBS services, where the logical channels are received over the same transport block.

The first network may then notify the apparatus to release or suspend the first connection. The apparatus may send release and/or suspension preferences to the first network, such as a preference to be treated in an idle or inactive mode, paging preferences, and a preferred identifier of the apparatus. The apparatus may then form the second connection, and monitor for paging from the first network, e.g., during a given paging occasion and paging frame.

摘要: The present application describes methods and systems for cell selection and reselection. One aspect describes the apparatus including a non-transitory memory including executable instructions for cell selection or cell reselection, which when executed by a processor, performs the instructions of determining one or more new public land mobile networks (PLMNs) have been selected. The processor is also configured to execute the instructions of scanning radio frequencies for one or more cells in one or more of the selected PLMNs. The processor is further configured to execute the instructions of determining the one or more cells to be an acceptable cell, a suitable cell, not an acceptable cell, or not a suitable cell. The processor is even further configured to execute the instructions of determining a state of the apparatus to be a multi-camped normally state, a reduced power any cell selection state, a reduced power camped on any cell, a camped normally state, an any cell selection state, or a camped on any cell state.

摘要: An overall architecture to integrate multicast and broadcast service into a general 5G core network. The architecture may provide methods and systems to switch the delivery mode of transmitting messages to User Equipment (UE)s from a unicast mode to a multicast mode. The method includes triggering events at UE, network functions, content provider or RAN node to initiate the switch process; a procedure for UE initiated switch from unicast to multicast; a procedure for network-initiated switch from unicast mode to multicast mode; and a procedure for RAN initiated switch from unicast mode to multicast mode. The architecture may also provide methods to switch the delivery mode from multicast mode to unicast mode. These methods may include triggering events at UE, network functions, content provider or RAN node to initiate the switch process; a procedure for UE initiated switch from multicast mode to unicast mode; a procedure for network-initiated switch from multicast mode to unicast mode; and a procedure for RAN initiated switch from multicast mode to unicast mode.

摘要: User equipment (UE) may detect a disaster condition, and the resolution thereof, based on broadcast information, RRC messaging, NAS messaging, the ability to connect to an allowable PLMN, and indications from forbidden PLMNs. In a disaster condition, a UE may perform an enhanced PLMN selection procedure wherein, for example, the UE will not consider PLMNs that are in a disaster situation if the disaster situation applies to a current location of the UE, prioritize forbidden PLMNs for disaster roaming connection. For disaster roaming connection, the UE may be configured by an otherwise forbidden PLMN with information about what services the UE can access and what type of authentication procedure the network is able to perform with UE. Upon detecting that the disaster condition is over, the UE move back to an allowable PLMN.
