摘要: An apparatus and method for detecting the location of a vehicle using results sensed by sensing devices installed outside the vehicle and the internal information of the vehicle without obtaining the current location information of the vehicle using signals transmitted from a Global Positioning System (GPS) satellite, the apparatus for detecting the location of a vehicle includes a location information reception unit for receiving location information that is generated by sensing a vehicle passing by a sensing point and that corresponds to the sensing point. A location detection unit estimates a current location of the vehicle based on information sensed by internal sensors of the vehicle and control information for a vehicle manipulation part while the location information is not received, and corrects the estimated current location of the vehicle using received location information when the location information is received.

摘要: A method for updating a map in a navigation terminal via fusion of broadcasting and telecommunications includes: receiving map contents of the map from a broadcast center via a broadcast network; classifying the map contents received via the broadcast network into updatable map contents and un-updatable map contents which have dependencies with map contents having not been received by the navigation terminal; and updating the map using the updatable map contents. The method further includes requesting the broadcast center via a wired/wireless telecommunications network to download map contents of the map, which have not been received but have dependencies with the un-updatable map contents; receiving the requested map contents from the broadcast center via the wired/wireless telecommunications network; and updating the map by aggregating the un-updatable map contents with the requested map contents.

摘要: Disclosed herein are an apparatus and method for recognizing the location of a vehicle. The apparatus includes a landmark recognition unit, a distance recognition unit, and a vehicle location calculation unit. The landmark recognition unit receives information about images of landmarks, indicated around a road in a direction in which the vehicle is traveling, from an image sensor, and recognizes a reference landmark closest to the vehicle based on the image information. The distance recognition unit collects values of distances to the reference landmark from the range sensor. The vehicle location calculation unit calculates the final location of the vehicle based on basic information about the reference landmark and the distance values.

摘要: An organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display includes a substrate and a plurality of sub-pixels formed on the substrate, wherein the substrate includes a display region having formed therein sub-pixels to which colored organic materials are applied, and a non-display region formed at edges of the display region. The non-display region includes an outgassing portion and a cathode contacting portion, and protrusions and recessions having different numbers and unit opening areas are formed in at least one of the outgassing portion and the cathode contacting region. Thus, organic raw materials applied during manufacturing process may be prevented from remaining. Therefore, an increase in contact resistance due to organic raw materials remaining in a cathode contact region may be reduced.

摘要: In existing moving object tracking, there is a great communication load between a terminal and a platform, because the terminal should report its location to the platform every second or every minute and the platform should frequently process the location form the terminal. It is possible to reduce the great communication load on the server, by calculating an error between the current GPS location and the estimated location at a specific time on the basis of the estimated arrival time of the moving object. It allows that the terminal report its location to the server only when the error between current GPS location and the estimated location is greater than a predetermined threshold value.
