摘要: A system for performing face registration and authentication using face information, and a method thereof. A set of readily distinguishable features for each user is selected at a registration step and only the set of features selected at the registration step is used at a face authentication step, whereby memory use according to unnecessary information and amount of data calculation for face authentication can be reduced. Thus, the present system has an advantage in that identity authentication through face authentication can be performed even under restricted environments of a USB token or smart card with limited resources. The present system further has advantages in that authentication performance is improved, as readily distinguishable feature information is used, and the time for face authentication is reduced, as face authentication is performed using the SVM built by using the optimal set of readily distinguishable features at a training step.

摘要: Disclosed is a user interface apparatus and method using a head gesture. A user interface apparatus and method according to an embodiment of the invention matches a specific head gesture of a user with a specific command and stores a matched result, receives image data of a head gesture of the user and determines whether the received image data corresponds to the specific command, and provides a determined command to a terminal body. As a result, without being affected by ambient noises and causing noise damages to peoples around a terminal, the utilization of the terminal is not inconvenient to the user even in the case where the user can use only one hand.

摘要: There is provided a method for integrated management of posted articles and a terminal for the method. The method for integrated management of posted articles that is executed in a user terminal includes performing a login using an integrated ID when an integrated ID client module starts, having access to a posted article server where an article is written and requesting writing to the posted article server, transmitting a written and posted article to an integrated ID server and requesting storage of the posted article to the integrated ID server, and receiving a storage location where the posted article is stored from the integrated ID server and notifying the posted article server of the received storage location of the posted article.

摘要: Disclosed are an adaptive multimedia system for providing multimedia contents and a codec to a user terminal, and a method thereof. The adaptive multimedia system includes: a media server controller that receives profile information from an open codec player of the user terminal, and when a codec for decoding the multimedia contents does not exist in the user terminal, transmits a control message to allow the multimedia contents and the decoding codec to be transmitted together; and at least one transmission frame generator that encodes the multimedia contents through a transcoder and an encoding module according to the control message transmitted from the media server controller, generates a transmission frame including the encoded multimedia contents and the decoding codec, and transmits the generated transmission frame to the open codec player.

摘要: A wireless communication method according to the present invention reserves a separate alternative channel in addition to a communication channel when a channel allocation request for a channel, in which it is required to secure QoS, is received from a device, and changes a channel to the reserved alternative channel to perform communication when a defective state exceeding an allowable value is detected in observed QoS information with respect to the communication channel. Therefore, it is possible to continuously provide satisfactory QoS.
