Abstract: The present invention relates to a composition for treating keratin fibers such as hair, comprising: (a) at least one hydroxy acid or salt thereof; (b) at least one cationic polyamino acid; and (c) water, wherein the amount of the (b) cationic polyamino acid(s) is 0.2% by weight or more, preferably 0.3% by weight or more, more preferably 0.5% by weight or more, and even more preferably 0.8% by weight or more, relative to the total weight of the composition.
