Abstract: A composition for skincare comprises in a hydrophilic phase: (i) at least one C5-C10 glycol; (ii) at least one linear unsaturated C18-C30 monoalcohol; and (iii) at least one hydrophilic cosmetic active ingredient. A non-therapeutic method for caring for the skin, comprising applying said composition to the skin, and use of the combination of at least one C5-C10 glycol and at least one linear unsaturated C18-C30 monoalcohol for improving the penetration of a hydrophilic cosmetic active ingredient into the skin.
