Abstract: The present invention relates generally to improvements in door hinge structures and more particularly to improvements in door hinges adapted to control electrical circuits. The hinge disclosed herein includes a pair of hingedly connected hinge plates or leaves having in association therewith contact means for opening and closing an electrical circuit, one hinge leaf being mountable upon the vertical edge of the door and the other mountable upon a door frame.

Abstract: This invention relates generally to hanger devices for suspending door panels and the like, and more particularly to the combination with a hanger structure of a manually shiftable latch device to facilitate attachment and detachment of a top-hung door panel. The present application discloses a hanger device of the type which includes a carriage movable within an upper track and having means in the form of a depending pin for accommodating a complementary fitting attached to the upper margin of the door panel. The fitting attached to the upper edge of the panel includes an open-ended slot for receiving the lower extremity of the above-mentioned carriage pin. A pivotally supported latch member, when in one shifted position permits lateral insertion of the carriage pin within the open-ended slot, and when in another shifted position prevents lateral movement or dislodgement of the pin from the slot. This latch device includes a handle member projecting beyond a bounding plane of the door which may be manually manipulated to move the latch member between the two above-mentioned positions.

Abstract: The present invention relates generally to improvements in door hinge structures equipped with means for controlling an electrical circuit. The present application discloses a pair of hingedly coupled hinge plates or leaves in which one of the hinge plates supports switch means and the other hinge plates supports an adjustably projectable abutment member adapted to engage a complementary shiftable switch controlling member projecting from the other hinge plate. In the disclosed embodiment, the adjustably projectable element comprises an electrically nonconductive generally cylindrical member adapted to be rotated for the purpose of axially shifting said member to position the exposed surface, thereof a predetermined distance from the exposed surface of the hinge plate on which said member is mounted.

Abstract: The present invention relates generally to improvements in the structure of door panel supporting carriages, and more particularly to the roller securing section of such carriages. The embodiment of the invention disclosed herein includes a carriage frame having oppositely disposed pintles extending therefrom and rollers carried by said pintles, the outer extremities of each pintle being slightly enlarged. The roller associated with each pintle has a central aperture the diameter of which is slightly less than the outer diameter of the pintle enlargement, said rollers being sufficiently yieldable to permit telescopic assembly thereof with a complementary pintle.
