Abstract:
A construction for automatically milking animals is provided with a milking robot and a computer which is capable of being connected with a number of measuring instruments which are related to a number of functions of the construction. A monitoring program for said functions is installed in the computer, with the aid of which the computer is suitable for determining, on the basis of a comparison of data from one or more of the measuring instruments with reference data related to said functions, a diagnosis in relation to an anticipated fault in one or more of said functions. The early determination of a diagnosis enables to warn a user and/or a service mechanic, who is then able to take in time the possibly required measures to avoid the anticipated malfunction.
Abstract:
A feed metering device provided with a feeding trough for containing fodder and/or drink, an entrance opening to the feeding trough, and a closing means for closing the entrance opening. A feed supplying device intermittently supplies a quantity of fodder and/or drink into the feeding trough. A detection device determines the quantity of feed in the feeding trough at a point of time after a supply of a quantity of fodder and/or drink and issues, in dependence of the result of the quantity determination, a signal for operating the closing means. Alternatively a clock determines the duration from a supply of a quantity of fodder and/or drink and issues, in dependence of the result of the determination of the duration, a signal for operating the closing means. Alternatively a detection device determines the quantity of feed in the feeding trough at a point of time after a supply of a quantity of fodder and/or drink and issues, in dependence of the result of the quantity determination, a first signal for operating the closing means, and a clock determines the duration from a supply of a quantity of fodder and/or drink and the clock issues, in dependence of the result of the determination of the duration, a second signal for operating the closing means, a closing means operating device operating the closing means on the basis of the first and/or the second signal. Alternatively or additionally the feed metering device is provided with a device for detecting jamming for the closing means. Alternatively or additionally the feed metering device is provided with an obstacle detector for detecting an obstacle in the entrance opening. Alternatively or additionally the feed metering device is provided with an anti-violence detector.
Abstract:
An arrangement for managing a herd of animals. Said arrangement comprises an animal identification system. The arrangement comprises a central unit provided with a computer having a memory, said memory containing per animal data in relation to the hierarchic order. The memory contains per animal data in relation to the jostling behaviour. A method of managing a herd of animals. In the method a number of automatic animal related treatments are performed. The method comprises the step of determining the hierarchic order of an animal, the performance of at least one of the automatic animal related treatments being controlled at least on the basis of the determined hierarchic order of an animal.
Abstract:
A cleaning device for cleaning the exterior of a milking parlour by means of a cleaning fluid. The milking parlour comprises a milking robot and a bottom on which an animal to be milked can stand. The milking robot is provided with a rinsing device for cleaning the interior of the milking robot by means of rinsing fluid. The cleaning device for cleaning the exterior of the milking parlour is constituted by an automatic cleaning device.
Abstract:
A method of automatically milking a dairy animal, in particular a cow. The method comprises: a) the step of activating the teat cup for milking the teat; b) the step of measuring a milking parameter during milking the teat during step a) for obtaining a value of the milking parameter, and c) the step of deactivating the teat cup when a deactivation threshold has been reached. The deactivation threshold is determined at least partially with the aid of the value of the milking parameter. A device for automatically milking a dairy animal, in particular a cow. Said device is provided with means for activating the teat cup for milking a teat of the dairy animal, means comprising a milking parameter for measuring a milking parameter during milking the teat for obtaining a value of the milking parameter, means for deactivating the teat cup, and means for generating a threshold signal indicating that a deactivation threshold has been reached. The deactivation means are put into operation with the aid of the threshold signal, the means for generating the signal indicating a deactivation threshold generating the signal at least partially with the aid of the value of the milking parameter.
Abstract:
A device for supplying feed to animals, such as cows. Said device is provided with a plurality of feeding troughs disposed on a framework which is located around a central axis. Each feeding trough is accessible to an animal and has an entrance side for the head of an animal. At least one feeding trough has a shape that widens from the entrance side. Preferably all the feeding troughs have a shape that widens from the entrance side.
Abstract:
A construction for automatically milking animals is provided with a milking robot having at least one teat cup (2) and means (3 to 8) for connecting the teat cup(s) (2) to the teats of an animal to be milked. The construction comprises at least one milk collecting unit and at least one milking unit (1) which is movable relative to the milk collecting unit, said milking unit (1) being provided with own propulsion means (10, 11, 14, 15). The mobile milking units (1) may be disigned as light and compact ones. The own propulsion means of the milking units (1) result in a multifunctional construction.
Abstract:
A device for supplying feed to animals, such as cows. The device is provided with a feeding trough (6) which is accessible to an animal, with a bottom (5) having a floor portion (8) on which an animal can stand, and with identification means (7) for identifying an individual animal. The distance between the feeding trough (6) and the floor portion (8) is adjustable. The distance between the feeding trough (6) and the floor portion (8) is automatically adjustable with the aid of data from the identification means (7). An assembly of a device for supplying feed to animals, such as cows, said device being provided with a feeding trough (6) which is accessible to an animal, and with identification means (7) for identifying an individual animal, and with a bottom (5) having a floor portion (8) on which an animal can stand for making use of the device, the distance between the feeding trough (6) and the floor portion (8) being adjustable. The floor portion (8) is provided with means (28) for adjusting the orientation of the floor portion (8) relative to the bottom (5), and with means for locking the floor portion (8) in an adjusted position.
Abstract:
A device for supplying fodder to animals. The device is provided with a hopper for a stock of fodder, a feeding trough which is accessible to an animal, conveying means for conveying fodder from the hopper to the feeding trough, and a receptacle.
