The invention relates to a round baler (1) for agricultural stalk material, which is arranged, in combination with a wrapper (3) for wrapping a round bale (42a) in film, on at least one running gear, a sloping plane in the form of a chute device (20) for the finished round bale (42a) being provided between the round baler (1) and the wrapper (3). To ensure that the round bale (42a) is transferred reliably and as quickly as possible to the wrapper (3) by simple means and without the expenditure of a large amount of force, it is proposed according to the invention that the chute device (20) be adjustable. Due to a steeper position of the chute device (20), the round bale (42a) rolls quickly out of the swivel zone (43) of the round baler (1), such that the rear housing (10) may be closed just as quickly as with round balers (1) operating alone.

The device is further provided with a power measuring system for measuring the power of the drive member during the drive of the cleaning member. A comparator compares the momentary value of the power measured by the power measuring system with a lower threshold. The comparator supplies a signal when the lower threshold is exceeded. A method of cleaning the teats of the udder of a dairy animal. The cleaning is carried out by a cleaning member driven by a drive member. The method comprises the steps of measuring the power of the drive member, of comparing the measured power with a power threshold value, of choosing a lower threshold as a power threshold value, and of supplying a signal when the lower threshold is exceeded.

A method of collecting measurement data during automatically milking a dairy animal by means of a device provided with a milking box with a milking robot. The method comprises the step of determining the period between two successive milking runs of the dairy animal, the step of measuring a value of a variable in relation to the dairy animal, the step of issuing a measurement signal indicative of the measured value, and the step of admitting a dairy animal to the milking box in dependence on an admission criterion. The method comprises the step of repeatedly varying the admission criterion in such a manner that periods with different values are obtained.

The distance between the feeding trough (6) and the floor portion (8) is automatically adjustable with the aid of data from the identification means (7). An assembly of a device for supplying feed to animals, such as cows, said device being provided with a feeding trough (6) which is accessible to an animal, and with identification means (7) for identifying an individual animal, and with a bottom (5) having a floor portion (8) on which an animal can stand for making use of the device, the distance between the feeding trough (6) and the floor portion (8) being adjustable. The floor portion (8) is provided with means (28) for adjusting the orientation of the floor portion (8) relative to the bottom (5), and with means for locking the floor portion (8) in an adjusted position.

The device is provided with a hopper for a stock of fodder, a feeding trough which is accessible to an animal, conveying means for conveying fodder from the hopper to the feeding trough, and a receptacle. The conveying means comprise a first conveyor for conveying an amount of fodder from the hopper to the receptacle and a second conveyor for conveying the amount of fodder from the receptacle to the feeding trough. The device is provided with a container for containing edible separating material. Supply means supply the edible separating material to the receptacle. There is provided a control means for first performing the supply of the edible separating material to the receptacle and then performing the conveyance of fodder from the hopper to the receptacle. The edible separating material is constituted by a material that at least substantially does not adhere to components of the device.

A construction for automatically milking animals comprises a milking robot with teat cup(s) (6) and means (10, 11) for connecting the teat cups (6) to the teats of an animal (7) to be milked. The teat cups (6) are disposed on a carrying element (8) which is supported by the floor (9) of the milk box (1), provided with propulsion means and suitable for moving across a two-dimensional part of the floor surface (9) of the milk box (1). The carrying element (8) is compact and easy to control.

A construction for automatically milking animals is provided with a milk reservoir (3; 13), with milk lines and with a milking robot (5) having at least one teat cup (6; 20) and means (9, 10; 19) for connecting the teat cup(s) (6, 20) to the teats of an animal (1; 11) to be milked. The construction (2; 12; 25, 26) is designed so as to be displaceable as a whole. The construction (2; 12; 25, 26) is further provided with own propulsion means (7; 23, 24), which results in a wide range of application possibilities and a high degree of flexibility in use.

The device is provided with a milk container for containing milk obtained, and with at least one milk line connecting the teat cup to the milk container. The foremilk reservoir is integrated in the teat cup. A teat cup for milking animals, such as cows.
