摘要: Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for generating a CSI report. One apparatus includes a transceiver that receives a set of reference signals transmitted from a base station and a processor that transforms the set of reference signals to obtain per-layer vectors of amplitude and phase coefficients of a DFT-compressed codebook. Here, each amplitude coefficient vector and phase coefficient vector corresponding to a tap in at least one identified beam. The processor calculates a subset of the taps for the at least one identified beam and controls the transceiver to transmit CSI feedback including the calculated taps to the base station, where each tap is an inverse Fourier transform of rows of time-domain coefficient vectors and where the CSI feedback includes an indication of one or more elements of the vectors of amplitude coefficient vectors and phase coefficient vectors corresponding to the at least one identified beam.

摘要: An apparatus and method provide for receiving, from a network node, a set of reference signals. A set of beams are identified based on the set of reference signals. A subset of coefficients with non-zero values are determined from a set of coefficients, each coefficient of the subset of coefficients being associated with a pair of values comprising an amplitude value and a phase value, each coefficient of the set of coefficients corresponding to a respective beam of the set of beams for each respective layer of the set of layers and a respective frequency-domain index of a set of frequency domain indices for each layer of the set of layers. The set of layers are partitioned into a plurality of groups of layers. A beam bitmap vector is generated for each group of the plurality of groups of layers, the beam bitmap vector indicating a subset of beams of the set of beams within the layer-group, the subset of beams being associated with the subset of coefficients. A coefficient bitmap vector is generated for each beam of the subset of beams for each group of the plurality of groups of layers, the coefficient bitmap vector indicating a respective frequency domain index associated with each of the subset of coefficients. A channel state information (CSI) report comprising the beam bitmap vector is transmitted to the network node for each group of the plurality of groups of layers, the coefficient bitmap vector for each beam of the subset of beams, or a plurality of pairs of coefficient values corresponding to the subset of coefficients, each pair of the plurality of pairs of coefficient values comprising a respective amplitude value and a respective phase value.

A downlink scheduling assignment including downlink control information is received (2004) in a control channel scheduling a physical downlink shared channel, wherein the downlink scheduling assignment comprises an indication of a transmission configuration indicator identifying two transmission configuration indicator states, which each indicate quasi-co-location information of a demodulation reference signal corresponding to the physical downlink shared channel relative to a respective one of the first and the second timing reference signals. The physical downlink shared channel is then received (2006) according to the downlink scheduling assignment including the downlink control information.

A set of beams including one or more restricted beams can be selected. A set of precoder coefficients can be determined for each selected beam. A function of the set of precoder coefficients can satisfy the configured maximum allowed gain value. The function can be proportional to a square root of an average of squared values of amplitudes of members of the subset. A CSI report can be transmitted. The CSI report can include at least an indicator of the set of selected beams and an indicator of the set of precoder coefficients corresponding to each selected beam.

摘要: A method and apparatus are provided for generating a channel state information report. A set of reference signals transmitted from a base station are received, and a set of beams are identified based on the set of reference signals. The set of reference signals is transformed to obtain a set of vectors of amplitude and phase coefficients of a compressed codebook, each amplitude coefficient vector and phase coefficient vector corresponding to an identified beam in the set of beams. The amplitude coefficient vector for each identified beam in the set of beams is adjusted by a selected value, wherein the selected value is determined such that the amplitude coefficient vector corresponding to a particular beam is normalized to a known predetermined value. A predefined oversampling factor is set to a subset of the set of beams to a value greater than one, wherein the particular beam is excluded from the subset of beams. A fractional part of the predefined oversampling factor of the subset of beams is generated, wherein the fractional part is based on the value of the predefined oversampling factor of the subset of beams. An indication of the fractional part of the predefined oversampling factor is reported as a part of the channel state information report.

The UE may utilize the configuration parameters to configure an AI algorithm. The UE may process a first set of beams utilizing the configured AI algorithm to identify a second set of beams. The UE may notify the base station (and/or other network entity) of the second set of beams, and one or more beams of the second set of beams can be utilized for wireless communication between the UE and the base station and/or other network entity or UE.
