    Abstract: A stretchable display device comprises a lower substrate, a plurality of island substrates disposed on the lower substrate and spaced apart from each other, a plurality of display elements disposed on the plurality of island substrates, a plurality of connecting lines disposed between each of the plurality of island substrates, an upper substrate disposed on the lower substrate, the plurality of display elements and the plurality of connecting lines, and a polarizing layer disposed on the upper substrate and including a phase delay layer on the upper substrate and a linear polarizing plate on the phase delay layer, wherein the phase delay layer includes a first base polymer, wherein the linear polarizing plate includes a second base polymer, and wherein the first and second base polymers include a same material as the upper substrate.

    Abstract: Provided is a display device. The display device includes a stretchable display device. The stretchable display device includes a lower substrate including a display area and a non-display area. The stretchable display device further includes a plurality of lower connection lines on the lower substrate. The stretchable display device further includes a plurality of first substrates disposed on the display area, the plurality of first substrates defines sub pixels, and a modulus of the plurality of first substrates is larger than a modulus of the lower substrate. The stretchable display device further includes a plurality of connection substrates connecting adjacent first substrates among the plurality of first substrates. The stretchable display device further includes a plurality of upper connection lines disposed on the plurality of connection substrates. Therefore, various connection lines are configured in a limited space to improve an image quality of a stretchable display device.

    Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a stretchable display device, including a lower substrate as a first substrate, the lower substrate having an active area and a non-active area surrounding the active area; a plurality of second substrates positioned on the lower substrate and horizontally separated from each other; a transistor disposed on the second substrate; a plurality of light emitting elements disposed above the transistor and above the plurality of second substrates; a plurality of connecting substrate positioned between the plurality of second substrates to interconnect two adjacent second substrates. With this structure of the display, especially to the structure of the connecting substrate and the connection line, the stress applied to the stretchable display the connecting lines may be attenuated.
