Abstract: Provided are a light controlling apparatus and a method of fabricating the same. The light controlling apparatus comprises: a first electrode unit and a second electrode unit facing each other; a liquid crystal unit between the first electrode unit and the second electrode unit, the liquid crystal unit including: a liquid crystal; a network having a first polymer polymerized from a first monomer having a similar shape as the liquid crystal and a second polymer polymerized from a second monomer having a shape different from the first monomer; and a wall having the first polymer and the second polymer.

Abstract: Disclosed is a transparent display device in which a light shield rate is not lowered by partition walls in a light shield mode, and moreover, a light transmittance is not lowered in a transmissive mode. The transparent display device includes a transparent display panel including a plurality of transmissive areas transmitting incident light and a plurality of emissive areas emitting light, and a light control device disposed on a rear surface of the transparent display panel. Abstract: A transparent display device that may improve light transmittance in a transmissive mode, and a method for fabricating the same are discussed. The transparent display device according to an embodiment includes a first substrate, a second substrate facing a first surface of the first substrate, and a third substrate facing a second surface of the first substrate; a display unit arranged between the first and third substrates, and including a transmissive area and an emission area; and a light controller arranged between the first and second substrates, and transmitting or shielding incident light. The light controller includes a control thin film transistor provided on the first surface of the first substrate; a first electrode provided on the control thin film transistor; a second electrode provided on one surface of the second substrate facing the first substrate; and liquid crystal cells arranged between the first electrode and the second electrode. The control thin film transistor is arranged to correspond to the emission area.

Abstract: A light control device and a transparent display device including the same are discussed. In the light control device, a sealant uniformly spreads in a bonding process. The light control device includes a first substrate and a second substrate facing each other, a first electrode over one surface of the first substrate facing the second substrate, a second electrode over one surface of the second substrate facing the first substrate, a liquid crystal layer between the first electrode and the second electrode, a sealant sealing a plurality of liquid crystal cells between the first substrate and the second substrate, a first dam structure in a boundary between the sealant and the liquid crystal, and a second dam structure surrounding an outer side of the sealant. The liquid crystal layer transmits or blocks light, and the first dam structure surrounds an inner side of the sealant contacting the liquid crystal cells.
