Abstract:
A display device and a method for driving the same are discussed. The display device, in which pixels of a display panel are charged to a data voltage during a pixel driving period and touch sensors embedded in the display panel are driven during a touch sensor driving period, includes a timing controller which transmits a preamble signal, control data, and data of an input image to a source driver integrated circuit (IC) during the pixel driving period and transmits the preamble signal to the source driver IC during the touch sensor driving period.
Abstract:
A touch sensor integrated type display device includes a plurality of gate lines, a plurality of data lines crossing over the plurality of the gate lines, a plurality of pixel electrodes formed in areas defined by crossing over the gate lines and the data lines, a plurality of first electrodes formed between pixel electrodes which are neighbored to each other with a gate line therebetween, a plurality of second electrodes, each of the second electrodes formed to overlap with at least one portion of the pixel electrode and arranged in parallel with the gate line, wherein one of the first and second electrodes serve as common electrodes for driving the display device.

Abstract:
A touch display device includes a timing controller to generate a sync signal for controlling timing of a touch sensor driving period and a display driving period, where the display driving period comprises a first phase to drive odd signal lines according to a first polarity and to drive even signal lines according to a second polarity, a second phase to drive the odd signal lines according to the second polarity and to drive the even signal lines according to the first polarity, and a charge share period between the first phase and the second phase. A set of charge sharing switches couple the odd and even signal lines together during the charge share period and couple the odd and even signal lines together during the touch sensor driving period.
