Abstract: Disclosed are a cooling unit and a cooking appliance including the same. An operation detecting module that senses rotation of a cooling fan includes a magnetic member that generates a magnetic force, a detector that senses the magnetic force, and an adjustment member that opens and closes a passage where the magnetic force passes between the magnetic member and the detector, and when the cooling fan rotates, the adjustment member operates such that a first operation of opening the passage and a second operation of closing the passage alternate repeatedly.
