    Abstract: A robot cleaner and controlling method thereof are disclosed. Accordingly, a cleaning area is partitioned with reference to a door by recognizing the door and the partitioned cleaning areas can be cleaned in consecutive order. The present invention includes the steps of deriving a door location in a cleaning area through an image information, composing a cleaning map by detecting an obstacle in the cleaning area, creating a room information for distinguishing a plurality of rooms partitioned with reference to the door from each other by having the derived door location reflected in the cleaning map, and performing a cleaning by room units distinguished from each other through the room information.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for selecting a voice-enabled device are disclosed. In the voice-enabled device selecting method, when recognition situation information is obtained from one device, voice signals may be obtained from that device and second devices registered to the same account as that device, and a device that will respond to the wakeup word may be selected based on the voice signals. Thus, even if the closest device the user intends to activate is not able to recognize a wakeup word spoken by the user due to the device's microphone position, that device may be selected as a voice-enabled device. At least one of a voice enable device selecting apparatus, an intelligent computing device, an IoT device, and a server controlling the voice enable device selecting apparatus may be associated with an artificial intelligence (AI) module, an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) (or drone), a robot, an augmented reality (AR) device, a virtual reality (VR) device, and a device related to a 5G service.

    Abstract: An intelligent voice enable device searching method and apparatus are disclosed. A method for searching a plurality of voice enable devices according to one embodiment of the present disclosure includes receiving first device information from a first device receiving a wake-up voice; searching a first account associated with the first device based on the first device information; searching devices of a first group registered in the first account; searching a second account associated with a second device other than the first device among the devices of the first group; searching devices of a second group registered in the second account; searching devices of a third group sharing an IP address with the devices of the first group or the devices of the second group; and selecting a voice enable device to respond to the wake-up voice among the devices of the first group, the second group, and the third group. The method has an effect that a device that responds to a wake-up voice may be searched more accurately than in a conventional approach.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for selecting a voice-enabled device are disclosed. The voice-enabled device selecting apparatus may reduce the amount of communication load between a home IoT server and home IoT devices and minimize the amount of computation of the home IoT server by obtaining information related to the direction from which each voice recognition device receives a wakeup word from a plurality of voice recognition devices, determining the position where the wakeup word is spoken by using the information related to the direction from which the wakeup word is received, and selecting the voice recognition device closest to the speech position as a voice-enabled device.     Abstract: Disclosed are a response device determination method and a response device determination apparatus. The method includes receiving audio signals from a plurality of devices respectively; extracting a plurality of distance information indicative of distances between the user and the plurality of devices from the audio signals respectively; and determining a response device to respond to the wake-up voice using the extracted plurality of distance information, wherein the response device is determined based on at least one of first and second steps according to a predetermined condition, wherein the first step includes comparing the extracted plurality of distance information with each other and determining the response device based on the comparison result, wherein the second step includes applying the extracted plurality of distance information to a deep neural network (DNN) model to obtain an application result and determining the response device based on the application result. Thus, in an environment where a plurality of devices recognize the same wake-up voice, the method may select a device to respond to a wake-up voice in response to a single utterance from the user so as to reflect intention of the user.
