Abstract: The present invention relates to a mobile terminal for controlling the screen output state of at least one external device outputted on a display device, and a control method therefor. To achieve the aforesaid objective or other objectives, an aspect of the present invention provides a mobile terminal comprising: a display unit including a first display area and a second display area; a wireless communication unit for transmitting/receiving signals to/from a display device; and a control unit for performing control so as to output, to the first display area, the current screen division state of the at least one external device being outputted on the display device, and to output, to the second display area, at least one screen division option for the at least one external device.
