    Abstract: A method of controlling a washing machine that includes a drum rotatably provided in a tub that receives water, at least one nozzle spraying water into the drum, a washing motor rotating the drum, and a circulation pump circulating water within the washing machine, the method including: operating the washing motor to rotate the drum in a first rotational direction while repeatedly alternating between an acceleration and a deceleration of the drum so that laundry in the drum alternates between maintaining contact with an inner surface of the drum during acceleration, and separates from the inner surface of the drum during deceleration; and operating a circulation pump motor in the circulation pump, while the drum rotates in the first rotational direction, to accelerate a pump speed of the circulation pump during the acceleration of the drum, and to decelerate the pump speed during deceleration of the drum.

    Abstract: A washing machine includes a casing having an input port which is formed in a front surface thereof and to which laundry is inputted; a tub which is disposed in the casing to contain fluid, and has an opening communicating with the input port; a drum which is rotatably disposed in the tub, and contains the laundry; a pump which pumps water discharged from the tub; a circulation conduit which guides the water pumped by the pump; an annular gasket which forms a channel connecting the input port and the opening of the tub, and has a plurality of nozzles for spraying water into the drum on an inner circumferential surface defining the channel; and a nozzle water supply conduit which is fixed to the gasket, and supplies the water pumped by the pump to the plurality of nozzles.

    Abstract: A method of controlling a washing machine of the present invention includes the steps of: (a) supplying detergent contained in a dispenser together with water into an inner tub; (b) operating a pump to transfer the water supplied together with the detergent to a plurality of nozzles disposed above the inner tub; and (c) further supplying water into the inner tub, operating the pump while the water is being supplied, and rotating the inner tub so that laundry contained in the inner tub adheres to an inner surface of the inner tub by centrifugal force during the operation of the pump.

    Abstract: A method of controlling a washing machine includes: sensing a laundry amount accommodated in a drum; performing water supply into the drum according to the sensed laundry amount; rotating a pump motor at a certain initial rotation speed and transferring washing water discharged from the drum to at least one nozzle for spraying water into the drum; sensing a water level in the drum; performing a re-supply of water at least once until the sensed water level reaches a set water level; and increasing the rotation speed of the pump motor whenever the re-supply of water is performed, so that as the rotation speed of the pump motor is increased, the reaching range of the water stream sprayed through the nozzle gradually expands from the lower side of the circumferential surface of the drum to the rear surface of the drum.

    Abstract: A washing machine includes a casing, a tub, a drum, a pump, a gasket that is arranged between a case opening and a tub opening and that includes first nozzles and second nozzles, and a water pipe assembly that includes: first nozzle ports affixed to the first nozzles, second nozzle ports affixed to the second nozzles, a first conduit, and a second conduit. The gasket further includes port insertion pipes into which the first and second nozzle ports inserted. Each of the first and second nozzle ports includes at least one press-fit protrusion that is formed on an outer circumferential surface of the nozzle supply port and that is configured to, in a state in which the nozzle supply port is inserted into a corresponding port insertion pipe, maintain contact with an inner circumferential surface of the port insertion pipe.
