Abstract: A remote control apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a communication unit for communicating with a display apparatus; a display unit; and a control unit for outputting, via the display unit, a first group of keys corresponding to a remote control mode, and, in response to a keyboard mode activation signal received from a display apparatus, outputting a second group of keys corresponding to the keyboard mode.
