    Abstract: The present invention relates to a device for transmitting data in a wireless AV system, and a device for receiving data in a wireless AV system. The present specification discloses a device comprising: a communication unit configured to receive, from an initiator, a forward direction data frame and reverse direction grant information, instructing that reverse direction transmission be allowed, within a transmission opportunity acquired by the initiator, generate and transmit to the initiator, a block ACK frame pertaining to the forward direction data frame, and buffer a reverse direction data frame to be transmitted to the initiator; and a processor connected to the communication unit and configured to acquire AV data from the forward direction data frame.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for performing beamforming using multiple antennas in a wireless AV system. The present specification discloses a wireless data transmission apparatus comprising: a plurality of transmission antennas; a communication circuit for performing a MIMO beamforming procedure on the basis of an individual transmission sector sweep for each of the plurality of transmission antennas during a data transmission interval within a beacon interval, and transmitting a physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU) frame to a wireless data reception apparatus through the plurality of transmission antennas; and a processor connected to the communication circuit, and configured to generate AV data to be transmitted through the PPDU frame and provide the generated AV data to the communication circuit. The present invention can reduce time required for MIMO beamforming while minimizing training of an excessive sector combination in a communication procedure or information related to the MIMO beamforming in a wireless AV system, and maintain the reliability of the system by using an optimum sector combination.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a device and a method for performing channel selection in a wireless AV system. Such present specification discloses a wireless data transmission device for performing channel selection, the device comprising: a communication unit for performing the steps of selecting an initial channel in a non-connection state on the basis of first channel monitoring, transmitting a periodic beacon onto the initial channel in a standby mode after switching to a connection state, and selecting a new channel in the standby mode on the basis of second channel monitoring in an interval in which beacon transmission does not occur; and a processor connected to the communication unit so as to control the operation of the communication unit. Fast and economic channel selection appropriate for the wireless AV system is possible.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a data transmission device and reception device in a wireless AV system. Disclosed in the present specification is a wireless data transmission device comprising: a processor for generating a compressed bitstream by encoding media data; and a communication unit for segmenting the compressed bitstream, mapping the segmentation results to MSDUs, generating an MPDU frame sequentially including a MAC header, a frame body, and an FCS associated with the MAC header in order to transmit the MSDUs, generating a PPDU frame sequentially, which includes a preamble to which at least a portion of the MAC header is mapped, at least one PPDU to which the frame body and the FCS are mapped, and a TRN field, and transmitting the PPDU frame through a wireless channel. A data transmission rate can be improved through a reduction in overhead information.

    Abstract: The present specification relates to a reception apparatus and method for demodulating a signal in a wireless AV system. The reception apparatus estimates a transmission signal on the basis of an MMSE weight matrix. The reception apparatus divides the estimated transmission signal for respective reception antennas and performs an IFFT. The reception apparatus estimates and compensates for phase noise for the respective reception antennas on the basis of the signal for which the IFFT has been performed. The reception apparatus demodulates the estimated and compensated signal for respective streams.
