Abstract: Disclosed herein is a geared in-wheel motor, the geared in-wheel motor, including, a circular rim an outer wheel of which is wrapped by a tire and which is coupled to the tire, a shaft configured to pass through a center of the rim and connected to the rim, a motor assembly comprising a stator connected and fixed to the shaft in the rim and a rotor disposed to wrap the stator and configured to rotate, a cover configured to seal an opened portion of the rim and coupled to the rim, and a gear assembly disposed in the rim and configured to reduce a speed of rotation of the rotor, wherein the gear assembly comprises a sun gear disposed at the same center as the rotor, and a plurality of planetary gears disposed to surround and wrap a circumference of the sun gear, fixed to the rotor and configured to rotate along with the rotor.
