Abstract: Provided are a video display device and a method of controlling the same. The method includes obtaining an uncompressed audio-visual (AV) content; playing the uncompressed AV content through the display unit; obtaining content information of the uncompressed AV content on the basis of a content section of the uncompressed AV content; obtaining content change time information and enhanced service information on the basis of the content information; and determining a delay time for obtaining the next content information on the basis of the content change time information.
