Abstract: Disclosed is a method for controlling a spin-drying cycle of a laundry treatment machine. The method includes performing a plurality of spin-drying operations by rotating a drum above an adjusted rotational speed range configured to adjust disposition of balls within a ball balancer so as to correspond to a changed amount of eccentricity, and adjusting the disposition of the balls within the ball balancer by rotating the drum within the adjusted rotational speed range, between the respective spin-drying operations.

Abstract: A control method of a washing machine may include supplying water to a predetermined unbalance induction water level into a wash tub configured to accommodate fabric, the wash tub being rotated about a vertical axis, rotating a pulsator inside the wash tub, sensing an amount of fabric, rotating the wash tub at a constant acceleration, determining unbalance based on a current value applied to a motor in a state in which a rotational speed of the wash tub falls in a given range and the sensed amount of fabric while the wash tub is rotated at the constant acceleration, and supplying water to a first water supply level into the wash tub when the unbalance is greater than a reference value, and supplying water to a second water supply level, which is higher than the first water supply level, when the unbalance is smaller than the reference value.

Abstract: Washing machine technology, in which an initial speed in a drainage process is determined after a rinsing mode is finished, and a laundry distributing operation is performed in which a rotational speed of the motor is maintained at the determined initial speed. The washing machine determines whether a degree of laundry distribution satisfies an allowable range by comparing information detected by a vibration sensor with previously stored reference information. The initial speed is determined to be a rotational speed of the motor at an intersection time point at which vibration of a fundamental wave and vibration of higher harmonics detected by the vibration sensor intersect with each other.

Abstract: The laundry treatment machine, absent a position sensor to sense the rotor position of a motor, includes a driving unit having an DC/AC inverter, an voltage detection unit to detect output voltage, and an inverter controller to control the inverter. The output voltage detection unit includes a plurality of resistors connected between the inverter and the motor and a comparator to compare voltage detected by some of the resistors with reference voltage and to detect pulse width modulation (PWM)-based output voltage. The voltage detection unit outputs the PWM-based output voltage output from the comparator to the inverter controller in a first mode in which at least one switching device of the inverter is turned on. The voltage detection unit outputs voltage detected by other some of the resistors to the inverter controller in a second mode in which all switching devices of the inverter are turned off.
