Abstract: The present invention relates to a video display device and a method for operating same. Abstract: A display device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure can generate and provide summarized content by selecting a user's favorite content based on a user viewing history and processing the selected favorite content to suit a user preference. The display device includes a controller configured to acquire user preference, and a display configured to display summarized content generated based on the user preference.
