Abstract: Described are radar systems and methods. A transmit pulse is generated by the radar system. A first portion of the transmit pulse is processed by the radar system to form transmit pulse data. A second portion of the transmit pulse is directed by the radar system into a monitored volume. A return signal is received by the radar system, the return signal at least partially comprising a portion of the second portion of the transmit pulse reflected by one or more objects in the monitored volume. The return signal is processed, by the radar system, to form return signal data.

A target aircraft is detected based on data from one or more of one or more radars, a fixed camera image from one or more fixed cameras, and an interceptor aircraft image from a camera mounted to an interceptor aircraft. An interception location is generated describing where the interceptor aircraft and the target aircraft are expected to meet. The interceptor aircraft is directed to the interception location to immobilize the target aircraft.

Abstract: Described are ice shields and methods for protecting tower-mounted equipment. An ice shield assembly can include an ice shield.
