Abstract:
The invention refers to a device for at least one milking stall (3) with a milking position (4) for an animal and with at least one milking equipment including a milking member arranged to be attached to including animal for milking thereof. The milking stall (3) is defined by at least one wall arrangement (5) and a floor (6) and extends between a first end (7) and a second (8) end in such a way that when an animal is present in including milking stall (3) in including milking position, the front portion of including animal is adjacent including first end (7) and the back portion of including animal is adjacent including second end (8). The device includes a cabinet-like structure (1), which has a longitudinal axis extending in a substantially vertical direction and which defines an inner space and which forms a building element of including milking stall (3). The invention also refers to a parlour (2) including a plurality of milking stalls (3) and the cabinet-like structure (1) forms a building element of including parlour (2) .
Abstract:
A dairy farm system comprises a plurality of apparatuses (11a-e) for performing actions related to the operation of the dairy farm system, wherein the apparatuses are connected in a network (12), and at least one of the apparatuses (21, 26-28) is movable. The movable apparatus is wirelessly connectable to the network via a short-range radio link (23a-c, 26a-c, 27a-c, 28a-c), preferably a Bluetooth link. Advantageously, the movable apparatus is kept continuously connected in the network (12) via the radio link during operation. In one embodiment the movable apparatus is a feed device (21), wherein feeding instructions are received, and feeding status or error information is sent, by the feed device via the radio link.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for calibrating milk meters in a milking system comprising a milking station (10a, 10b; 20) having at least one milk meter (14a,14b; 21a, 21b, 21c, 21d) that measures a value of a milking performance of a milking animal. The method comprises the steps: determining a reference value which reflects the amount of milk received from a number of milking animals during a selected time period in a reference unit (19; 32), retrieving all measured values during the selected time period for each milk meter (14a, 14b; 21a, 21b, 21c, 21d) that by itself contribute to the amount of milk received by the reference unit (19; 32), comparing the reference value with the sum of all retrieved measured values and calculating a correction function for one of the milk meters, and using the calculated correction function to adjust the measured value from the milk meter.
Abstract:
The invention refers to a device including a milk-conveying tubular member (1) of an elastic material. The tubular member is adapted 5 to convey a flow of milk and includes a wall (6) having an outer surface (6a) and an inner surface (6b) facing an inner space (7) of the tubular member. A first electrode member (11) is provided in the wall and has a first contact surface (13) facing the inner space and provided to contact the milk flowing the tubular member. The first 10 electrode member is formed by an electrically conducting polymer.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a compact modular unit to be mounted in a milking stall having at least one pipeline system, which provides an operative function in connection with a milking process of an animal in the milking stall. The compact modular unit (4) includes a casing (28), which defines an inner space of the compact modular unit (4), an electric control unit (23), which is mounted in the inner space of the compact modular unit (4), and an indicator (27, 50), which is arranged to display information related to the milking processes in the milking stall. Furthermore, the compact modular unit (4) includes a component (9, 10, 17, 52) of the pipeline system which is mounted in the inner space of the compact modular unit (4).
Abstract:
An emergency stop device for a rotary platform (1) of milking parlor for a milking parlor that includes at least one component (10, 13a) arranged beside an edge portion (1a, 1b) of the platform (1). The emergency stop device includes a detecting element (13b) adapted to initiate an emergency stop of the rotary platform (1) in a case of an object being detected in a detecting area (13b1) located beside the edge portion (1a, 1b) of the platform (1) at an upstream distance (D) from the component (10, 13a) with respect to the rotary direction of the platform (1). The upstream distance (D) is longer than an estimated stopping distance (d) of the edge portion (1b) when the platform (1) is emergency stopped.

Abstract:
An arrangement is provided in a milking system for simultaneous milking of a plurality of milking animals, wherein the milking system comprises a plurality of milking positions (P1-P24) and an arrangement for establishing identities of and expected milking times for the milking animals. Each of the milking positions is provided with teat cups, which are attached to the teats of a milking animal and are connected to a source of vacuum to milk the milking animal. The inventive arrangement comprises means (10) for determining a milking position, at which the milking animal having the longest expected milking time is present, based on the established identities and expected milking times; and a device (11, 13, 17; 20) for performing an action with respect to the milking system in response to the determination.
