The stator wedge (30) preferably includes an elongate, non-conductive, and substantially rigid body member (36). The body member (36) preferably includes a relatively flat bottom surface (35) and a relatively flat top surface (33). The top surface (33) preferably has less surface area than the bottom surface (35). The body member (36) also includes at least a pair of side peripheries sloping upwardly from peripheries of the bottom surface (35) having a greater surface area to peripheries of the top surface (33) having a lesser surface area to thereby define at least a pair of angled sides (31, 37). A thin-film, abrasion-resistant, non-conductive coating layer (32) is formed on upper surfaces of at least the pair of angled sides (31, 37).

    摘要: An apparatus useful in clamping stator coil windings of a turbine generator includes a retaining platform for extending across a pair of the coil windings positioned in a spaced relation. The retaining platform includes a bore extending therethrough. A connecting insert member is slidably carried within the bore and has a through-hole with separable mating segments for admitting a rod into the through-hole. An elongated rod passes through the throughhole of the connecting insert member, which rod includes a bulbous shaped end dimensioned for passing through the bore of the retaining platform but cannot pass through the through-hole of the connecting insert member. Thus providing tension in the elongated rod biases the platform against the pair of coil windings.

    摘要: An improved method and apparatus for preventing electrical shorts between sets of stator coil headers and accompanying connections is disclosed in which a reinforced, non-conducting cover is fitted over a pair of stator coil headers, or a stator coil header and an adjacent phase connector. Thereafter, the cavity formed by the fitted cover can be filled with an insulating, solidifying or polymerizing material or resin. Use of such an apparatus insulates the entire header apparatus and prevents any accidental shorting between sets of stator coil ends.

    摘要: A tuneable sensor reed for fiber optic vibration sensors. A sensor reed is mounted inside of a sensor case with an adjustable mounting structure such as a screw, bolt, clamp or cam lock. Adjusting the mounting structure changes the stresses on the sensor reed, and therefore adjusts the base frequency without the need to replace the whole sensor case. In a particular embodiment, the sensor reed is held in place by screws that completely penetrate the sensor case, and adjustments are made at the terminal end of the screw, which is on the outside of the sensor case, using for example, lock nuts. This adjustment allows for a sensor reed to be reset to its base frequency to compensate for such things as frequency drift, or to be set to a new frequency as desired.

The flexible connectors are constructed of conductive wire to provide an electrically conductive path and to provide the junction assembly with flexibility. This junction and channel sizing and configuration provides the junction assembly with a modular capability in that one or more flexible connectors can to be positioned in many different ways within the junction.

    摘要: A dynamoelectric machine comprising a stator core with slots therein and top and bottom coils contained in each of the slots and extend from the end of the stator core is provided. A radial clamp for securing a pair of adjacent top coils together with a pair of bottom coils is provided. The radial clamp comprises a support block radially outside the pair of top coils. The support block has an aperture that is substantially radially lined in relation to the axis of the machine. A retaining platform is coupled proximate the bottom coils. The retaining platform defines a bore. A connecting insert member that is adapted to be adjustably mounted within the retaining platform bore is provided. The connecting insert member further defines an aperture. A traverse pin is mounted proximate the support block. A radially extending banding material having a first end and a second end which has a head portion is provided. The first end of the banding material is formed around the pin with the banding material running through the first support block aperture and with the head portion received within the connecting insert member aperture such that the connecting member can be adjusted to adjust the length of the banding material.
