摘要： A cigarette lighter is disclosed. It operates by means a lever which opens a valve to release gas from a tank and a spark means to ignite the released gas.The lighter has a safety mechanism which prevents unintentional operation of the lighter, eg. by a child, but which an adult can easily overcome.The safety device is in the form of a resilient leg, one end of which is attached to the lever and the other end of which, in the non-use position, engages a surface of a block mounted in the body of the lighter.

摘要： A cigarette lighter is disclosed. It operates by acting on a push button which opens a valve to release gas from a tank and activate a sparking means for igniting the released gas. The lighter has a "self-retrieving" safety mechanism which is simple and easy for an adult to operate and which can reliably prevent unintentional operation of the lighter, such as by a child. The safety mechanism has an elongated resilient bar provided at one end with an operating member located. The safety mechanism has a normal position in which the safety device prevents operation of the push button and an operating position, to which the safety device can be moved by an operating member in a one step motion, in which the push button can be operated. Upon operation, the safety device automatically returns to its normal position.

摘要： A lighter is disclosed as including a flame generator, a body with a fuel reservoir, and a fuel outlet associated with the fuel reservoir, in which the fuel outlet is movable between a first configuration in which exit of the fuel from the reservoir is prevented, and a second configuration in which exit of the fuel from the reservoir is allowed, further including an operating lever with a first lever part and a second lever part which are movable relative to each other, in which the first lever part is operatively associated with the fuel outlet, and the second lever part is movable from a stable normal position to an operative position to move the first lever part to move the fuel outlet to its second configuration, and the second lever part extends generally upwardly when in the stable normal position. The lighter also includes a cavity for containing a flint, in which a closable aperture is provided on a side surface of the body to allow insertion or removal of the flint. All transverse cross sections of the fuel reservoir have a substantially circular periphery.

摘要： A child resistant safety lighter is provided which includes a detent on the spark wheel of the lighter which inhibits rotation of the spark wheel in its operative direction when the spark wheel is in a first locked or inoperative position. The spark wheel must be rotated in its inoperative direction (i.e., direction opposite its operative direction) by a selected number of degrees, which number of degrees is preferably defined by a second detent on the spark wheel which interacts with the flint to define a second cocked or operative position for the spark wheel. The spark wheel may then be rotated in its operative direction from the second position to the first position to operate the lighter and to also return the lighter to its locked position.

摘要： An ultra-thin cigarette lighter is disclosed. It operates by acting on a push button which opens a valve to release gas from a tank and activate a sparking means for igniting the released gas.
