    摘要: A mobile wireless communications device may include a wireless transceiver, a series of processing modules, a shared memory connected the plurality of processing modules and to the wireless transceiver, and a memory manager module for generating respective data location indices for data stored in the shared memory. The processing modules may cooperate with the shared memory and the memory manager module so that an upstream processing module stores given data in the shared memory, and so that a downstream processing module receives the data location index for the stored given data and processes the stored given data based thereon. The device may further include a security module for selectively purging data from the shared memory.

    摘要: A software-defined radio includes a pair of radio subsystems such as a red (command) and black (data) radio subsystem having an operating environment conforming to the Software Communications Architecture (SCA) specification, for example, as used for Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS). A clock is read by at least one of the radio subsystems for determining time of day. A processor of the radio subsystem is operative for distributing the time of day to the radio subsystems using a global hardware timing pulse. Each processor can include a free-running timer to which any time sources within the pair of radio subsystems are set.

    摘要: A mobile wireless communications device which may include a housing, an antenna carried by the housing, a wireless transceiver carried by the housing and connected to the antenna, and at least one memory for storing a compressed software file, a digest of an uncompressed version of the software file, and a digital signature of the compressed software file and the digest generated based upon a private key. The device may further include a processor carried by the housing and cooperating with the wireless transceiver for performing wireless communications. The processor may also cooperate with the at least one memory for authenticating the compressed software file based upon the digital signature and a public key corresponding to the private key. Upon authentication of the compressed software file, the processor uncompresses the compressed software file. The uncompressed software file may then be re-authenticated at a time after installation based upon the digest.

    摘要: A mobile wireless communications device which may include a housing, an antenna carried by the housing, a wireless transceiver carried by the housing and connected to the antenna, and at least one memory for storing a compressed software file, a digest of an uncompressed version of the software file, and a digital signature of the compressed software file and the digest generated based upon a private key. The device may further include a processor carried by the housing and cooperating with the wireless transceiver for performing wireless communications. The processor may also cooperate with the at least one memory for authenticating the compressed software file based upon the digital signature and a public key corresponding to the private key. Upon authentication of the compressed software file, the processor uncompresses the compressed software file. The uncompressed software file may then be re-authenticated at a time after installation based upon the digest.
