    摘要: A magnetic resonance imaging magnet assembly is provided. The assembly comprises a outer thermal shield having an operational temperature. The assembly further includes a cold sleeve assembly comprising a plurality of braid elements mounted to a cooler block and a highly thermally conductive block mounted between the cooler block and the outer thermal shield. The highly thermally conductive block is welded to the outer thermal shield and is welded to the cooler block. The highly thermally conductive block has greater thermal conductance than the outer thermal shield.

    摘要: A zero boiloff cryogen cooled recondensing superconducting magnet assembly including superconducting magnet coils suitable for magnetic resonance imaging including a cryogen pressure vessel to contain a liquid cryogen reservoir to provide cryogenic temperatures to the magnet coils for superconducting operation; a vacuum vessel surrounding the pressure vessel and spaced therefrom; a first thermal shield surrounding and spaced from the pressure vessel; a second thermal shield surrounding and spaced from the first thermal shield and intermediate the vacuum vessel and the first shield; a cryocooler thermally connected by a first and a second thermal interface to the first and second thermal shields, respectively; a recondenser positioned in the space between the pressure vessel and the first thermal shield and thermally connected by a thermal interface to the cryocooler to recondense, back to liquid, cryogen gas provided from the pressure vessel; and means for returning the recondensed liquid cryogen the pressure vessel; wherein the second thermal shield surrounding the first thermal shield reduces a radiation heat load from the first thermal shield to the pressure vessel lowering boiloff of cryogen gas under conditions of failure or power off of the cryocooler.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for mounting cables within a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system are provided. One apparatus includes a cable assembly having a rigid support structure defining a channel with a cross-section and an electrical cable having a cross-section smaller than the cross-section of the channel. The electrical cable is secured within the channel of the rigid support structure, with the rigid support structure configured for coupling to a stationary component of the MRI system to resist movement from a movable component to which the electrical cable is connected.

    摘要: An MRI apparatus and method is disclosed comprising a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system having a plurality of gradient coils positioned about a bore of a magnet, and an RF transceiver system and an RF switch controlled by a pulse module to transmit RF signals to an RF coil assembly to acquire MR images. The RF coil assembly comprises an RF tube, a plurality of electrically conductive members disposed around the RF tube and configured to transmit RF excitation pulses, a plurality of electrical components coupled to the electrically conductive members, and at least one thermally conductive substrate mounted upon the RF tube, wherein one of the plurality of electrically conductive members and the plurality of electrical components is mounted to the at least one thermally conductive substrate and is in thermal contact therewith.
