摘要: Providing for retransmission of SFN data, including SFN operated MBMS data, in a manner that preserves synchronization of scheduled SFN transmissions is disclosed herein. As an example, SFN data can be transmitted in a first allocation period, and an un-received or indecipherable SFN data packet associated with the SFN data can be scheduled in a second allocation period. More particularly, the un-received or indecipherable SFN data packet can be allocated to a block of the second allocation period that is scheduled for non-SFN transmission, for instance. Accordingly, SFN retransmission can take place on a cell by cell basis without substantially affecting SFN transmissions synchronized among the cells.

摘要: Facilitating feedback to a third generation partnership project (3GPP) long term evolution (LTE) or subsequent network is described herein. By way of example one or more blocks of downlink transmission resources (e.g., downlink channel) can be correlated to one or more blocks of uplink transmission resources (e.g., uplink channel) during scheduling of a transmission allocation period. For instance, the correlation can identify to terminal devices a particular uplink channel that can be used to transmit, among other things, a negative acknowledgement (NACK) related to a particular downlink channel. Additionally, multiple uplink resources can be employed to facilitate a quantitative and/or qualitative determination of severity of data loss. Furthermore, a limiting factor can reduce a number of terminal devices responding to lost data simultaneously, reducing feedback interference. As described, the subject innovation can provide for dynamic and/or static feedback in LTE networks to ensure robust service transmissions for such networks.

摘要: Methods, systems and apparatus for dispersing a group of user equipment (UEs) concentrated on a single channel is disclosed. After receiving a disperse command the UEs select a channel, and then select a cell. The channel selection may be performed using a random or pseudorandom function. The cell selection may be performed prior to camping on the cell. Prior to camping the UEs may test the acceptability of a candidate cell and/or may perform a cell reselection. The result of the dispersion is that the UEs are distributed amongst many channels (a, b, c, and d), where reference are found in FIGS. 1A and 1B.

摘要: Position of a WLAN access point (AP) is determined by reference to user equipment devices (UEs) in communication with the AP and with a radio network interworked with the WLAN. The AP position may be assumed to be the same as position of any UE in communication with the AP. UE positions may be averaged for a plurality of UEs, a plurality of positions of the same UE, or a combination of such UE positions. Round-trip time (RTT) may be measured between a plurality of UEs and the AP, and the AP position may be trilaterated from the RTT measurements and the UE positions. AP position may also be trilaterated from positions of the same UE in combination with RTTs between the AP and the UE, measured at different times. The computations of the AP position may be hosted at the WLAN or the radio network.

摘要: A scheme is provided for indexing and storing radio bearer configurations for a UMTS wireless communication network, such as a UTRAN. A radio network controller maintains a list of radio bearer configurations and an identifier for each configuration. One or more of these configurations and their identifiers are sent to a mobile terminal in the network. The mobile terminal stores these configurations and identifiers for future reference. This enables an on-the-fly configuration scheme in which the network controller can reference a particular stored configuration by its identifier to cause the mobile terminal to use that configuration to setup wireless transmitter and/or receiver. The identifiers may have contiguous values so that the network controller can transmit a range (e.g., starting identifier and ending identifier) to the mobile terminal rather than each identifier. When a configuration is modified or removed, the network controller may reassign identifiers to maintain contiguous values.

摘要: Techniques for concealing temporary identifiers (IDs) assigned to user equipments (UEs) by a wireless communication system are described. At a network entity, a first ID Assigned to a UE and possibly a salt value are transformed, e.g., based on a hash function, to obtain a second ID for the UE. An output message directed to the UE is generated based on an input message, the second ID, and the salt value (if present). The output message is sent via a common channel shared by the UE and other UEs. At the UE, a message is received via the common channel, and a salt value (if sent) is obtained from the received message. The first ID and the salt value are transformed to obtain the second ID, which is used to determine whether the received message is intended for the UE.
