摘要： The present invention relates to a method of enhancing the rate of skin desquamation by incorporating an ascorbic acid derivative into a cosmetic composition suitable for application to mammalian skin. The ascorbic acid derivative is selected from the group consisting of esters of ascorbic acid, salts, and mixtures thereof. The esters are generally selected from fatty acid mono-, di-, tri-, or tetra-esters. The salts are generally selected from ascorbyl phosphates, ascorbyl sulfates, and mixtures thereof.
