    摘要: A side impact beam to be integrated in a motor vehicle includes at least one elongated bar, which has a trapezoidal cross section and terminates on both ends in ramp-like end portions, wherein the elongated bar has a central web, flanks diverging outwardly from the central web, and flanges connected to the extremities of the flanks, and terminal attachment zones. For manufacturing such a side impact beam, a semifinished flat blank is cut to size of constant width from a sheet metal material band of constant thickness and includes an elongated center portion of constant width and a length which is at least half a length of the blank, wherein the center portion terminates on opposite ends in tongue-shaped end portions.

    摘要: A bumper arrangement for a front end or a rear end of an automobile having a bumper cover enclosing the bumper arrangement has a transverse support having a first and a second end. First and second spacer consoles are connected to the first and second ends of the transverse support, respectively. First and second stop plates are connected to the first and second spacer consoles opposite the transverse support. The first and second stop plates secure the bumper arrangement to longitudinal support beams of the car body extending in the longitudinal direction of the automobile. A transverse beam is positioned below the transverse support in a mounted position of the bumper arrangement. Spacer stays connect the transverse beam to the stop plates and are positioned below the spacer consoles. The transverse support and/or the spacer consoles, at least over portions thereof, have two or more deformation areas arranged next to one another in the longitudinal direction of the automobile. These deformations areas have different force levels.

The height of the profiled section may decrease in accordance with a uniform or non-uniform curve pattern.

    摘要: A door structure of a motor vehicle includes an inside door panel, and a single-piece reinforcement element which is disposed below a window parapet of the door structure and non-detachably secured to the inside door panel at a side distal to an outside door panel. The reinforcement element includes a wraparound frame having a top frame side extending along the window parapet, a bottom frame side extending along a lower edge of the door structure, a front frame side disposed in a hinge area between the top frame side and the bottom frame side, and a rear frame side disposed in a lock area between the top frame side and the bottom frame side, thereby defining an opening. Disposed in the opening and formed in one piece with the frame is an embossed door impact beam which extends from the front frame side to the rear frame side. The reinforcement element is made of high-strength hot formable steel defined by a tensile strength ranging from 1400 N/mm2 to 1600 N/mm2.

    摘要: A side impact support is described that can be incorporated in a vehicle door, for example, the door of an automobile. The side impact support is made of a metal sheet with a hat-shaped cross-section and two lateral legs connected by a web. The width of the end sections of the side impact support increases towards its end faces. According to the invention, the hat-shaped cross-section of the end sections extends to the end faces and increases in height and width. Preferably, side flanges projecting in the transverse direction are provided on the longitudinal edges of the profile, wherein the side flanges extend beyond the end sections to the end faces.
