    Abstract: A filter element for an air filter has a filter bellows with a filter medium folded multiple times. A recess is disposed in the filter bellows and is designed to receive a guiding rib of the air filter. The recess is curved at least in sections thereof along a length extension of the recess. The air filter has a housing and a guiding rib, wherein the filter element is arranged at least partially in the housing and the guiding rib is immersed at least partially in the recess of the filter element. In a method for producing the filter element, the recess in the filter bellows is formed with a computer-assisted separation method that forms the recess to be curved at least in sections thereof.

    Abstract: In a method for producing two or more filter bellows, a bellows with a filter medium with fold edges is provided, wherein the filter medium is running in a running direction. A cutting path is carried out in the bellows with the filter medium in a direction that, at least in some regions, is transverse relative to the fold edges such that the filter bellows are produced in parallel and the cutting path creates end edge faces and/or side faces of the filter bellows and the filter bellows are embodied lying adjacent to each other and symmetrical or point-symmetrical relative to each other in the running direction and/or transverse to the running direction. A filter element with such a filter bellows and a filter system with such a filter element and filter bellows arranged in a filter housing are provided.

    Abstract: A filter bellows with zigzag-folded filter medium has first and second fold edges extending between opposite end edge faces of the filter medium. The filter bellows has opposite end faces with an end fold. The filter bellows in use has a raw fluid-side surface and a clean fluid-side surface. First fold edges are positioned at the raw fluid-side surface and second fold edges are positioned at the clean fluid-side surface. The filter bellows has a passage extending between raw fluid-side surface and clean fluid-side surface. The passage has a first opening at the raw fluid-side surface provided with a first cross section and a second opening at the clean fluid-side surface provided with a second cross section. When projecting the first and second openings onto each other, one cross section, at least with sections thereof, is arranged outside of the other cross section.
