A method for moving a carriage for a lathe tool of a highly-dynamic machine tool employing a crossed roller bearing for mounting the carriage, wherein all roller bodies of the crossed roller bearing are always operationally linked to a carriage-side bearing surface, and the carriage is driven at an oscillation frequency of at least 50 Hz, in particular between 60 Hz and 200 Hz.
