The invention relates inter alia to a device (1) for labeling objects (3), preferably containers. The device (1) includes a label conveyor (7) for conveying a plurality of labels (2) along a circulating conveyor track (19) by means of multiple movement devices (20). The label conveyor (7) has a plurality of module docking stations (52). At least one auxiliary unit module is connected to one of the plurality of module docking stations (52). Advantageously, the flexibility of the device (1) can thus be substantially increased.

The present invention includes a method for operating a container treatment installation and a container treatment installation. The container treatment installation comprises at least one container treatment device with at least one first functional element (6). The first functional element (6) comprises a first drive for at least one first work function of the first functional element (6) during active container treatment mode (AM). The container treatment installation further comprises at least one second functional element (11). The first functional element (6) comprises at least one first actuation element (7) and, in a first active container treatment mode (AM), is set such that the first actuation element (7) performs no function on the second functional element (11). An apparatus and a method for controlling an apparatus for furnishing articles is disclosed. A conveyor unit is used to convey the articles. At least one exchangeable furnishing unit is designed to exchange identification data and/or control information during connection to the apparatus with the apparatus and/or with the conveyor unit. At least one storage area is provided, wherein the storage area stores at least two furnishing units. An automatically controlled feeding and withdrawing unit is used to operatively connect the storage area with the apparatus.

A labelling machine comprises a main supporting frame (3), a carousel (4) rotatably mounted on the frame (3) and at least one labelling device (2) able to move at least between a non-operating position in which it is distanced from the carousel (4) and uncoupled from it, and at least one operating position in which it is removably associated with the periphery of the carousel (4) for, in practice, allowing the labelling device (2) to label the objects supported by the sustaining means as they pass the labelling device. The labelling device (2) comprises a lower body (10), labelling means (11) mounted on the lower body (10), first, height-adjustable supporting means (12) designed to autonomously support the device (2) when it is associated with the carousel (4), and second supporting means (23) designed to autonomously support the device (2) when it is not associated with the carousel (4). The second supporting means (23) can be switched between a first configuration in which they allow the labelling device (2) to be supported solely by the first supporting means (12) and a second configuration in which they completely and autonomously support the labelling device (2) irrespective of the height adjustment of the first supporting means (12).
