An electric power conversion unit, in which a motor inverter, an electric power generation inverter, and a DC/DC converter are integrated, is arranged above the drive motor, the reduction drive, and the generator. Engine-related components such as a low-voltage battery, an air cleaner, and an oil filter are arranged above the engine body.

Abstract: Provided is a vehicle capable of suppressing vibration of a drive unit having an engine and a motor to be small and having high vehicle motion performance. The drive unit for travel of the vehicle includes an engine and a motor. The engine is a rotary engine and has an engine output shaft and an engine housing. The motor has a motor output shaft, a rotor, and a stator that are accommodated in a motor housing. The engine housing of the engine and the motor housing of the motor are directly joined to each other. The engine output shaft and the motor output shaft are directly joined to each other. The rotor of the motor has: a main body section that generates a rotational magnetic field with the stator; and a weight section that functions as a balance weight of the engine.

Abstract: A drive unit has engines and a motor that are adjacent to each other in a longitudinal direction. The engines are provided with an engine oil path and a coolant path for cooling. The motor is provided with a motor cooling oil path for cooling. A first heat exchanger, in which engine oil and motor cooling oil exchange heat, and a second heat exchanger, in which a coolant and the motor cooling oil exchange heat, are provided. A second size in vertical and lateral directions of the motor is smaller than a first size in the vertical and lateral directions of each of the engines. The second heat exchanger is attached to an upper portion of a side circumferential portion of the motor, and the first heat exchanger is attached to a lower portion of the side circumferential portion of the motor.

Abstract: A vehicle-body structure both protects a battery and provides a routing member below a floor panel that improves underfloor aerodynamic performance. Embodiments of a vehicle-body structure may include: a routing member that extends in a vehicle front-rear direction on a vehicle-width-direction outer side of a battery frame below a floor panel; a cover member that extends from a lower side of a battery to a lower side of the routing member; battery-frame fixation portions that fix the battery frame to side sills; and cover-member fixation portions that fix a vehicle-width-direction end portion of the cover member to the side sills. The routing member and the battery-frame fixation portions may be positioned on a vehicle-width-direction inner side of the cover-member fixation portions.

Abstract: A vehicle-body structure may include a floor panel, a dash panel extending upward from a vehicle front portion of the floor panel and partitioning a vehicle front portion of an occupant space, a cooler disposed on a vehicle front side of the dash panel, a control device disposed in the occupant space, and a supply pipe through which a heat exchange medium subjected to heat exchange at a heat exchanger is supplied to the control device. The heat exchanger may be closer to the control device than a powertrain PT mounted on an automobile.

Abstract: Provided is a vehicle capable of suppressing failure of an inverter while suppressing an increase in manufacturing cost by unitizing an engine and a motor. A drive unit as a drive source for travel of the vehicle has the engine and the motor. A torque tube is connected to a rear portion of the motor. The torque tube covers a propeller shaft that is coupled to an output shaft of the drive unit. An inverter is arranged above the torque tube. The inverter is separated from the drive unit and is separated from the torque tube. A terminal of the inverter and a terminal of the motor are connected by three wire harnesses. Each of the wire harnesses has a wire length that is longer than a linear distance connecting the terminal and the terminal by the shortest distance.
