    Abstract: A reversible reciprocating motor pump for transferring energy from one hydraulic system to another. The motor pump includes a pair of similar hydraulic cylinders connected back to back and controlled by interconnected control valves that properly sequence and phase the in and out flows to the hydraulic cylinders so hydraulic energy can be transferred from one system to the other without transferring hydraulic fluid therebetween.

    Abstract: A hydraulic system which includes bypass restrictors at the extremities thereof to produce a predetermined flow of hydraulic fluid in selected hydraulic lines. The predetermined flow of hydraulic fluid transfers heat generated in the system throughout the system so that the heat loss along the hydraulic lines is sufficient to maintain the temperature of the hydraulic fluid below a predetermined temperature.
