Abstract:
A voltage supply circuit is provided. The voltage supply circuit may operate at a first or second mode to generate an output voltage at an output node. The voltage supply circuit includes a compensation circuit, a comparator circuit, an inductor, and a driver circuit. The compensation circuit generates a compensation signal according to a feedback signal related to the output voltage. The comparator circuit compares the compensation signal with a first reference signal to generate a comparison signal. The inductor is coupled to the output node. The driver circuit receives the comparison signal and generates a driving voltage to the inductor according to the comparison signal. When the voltage supply circuit enters the second mode from the first mode, a duty of the comparison signal is increased to broaden an operation bandwidth of the voltage supply circuit in a predetermined period at the second mode.

A power supply configured to supply a modulated voltage to a power amplifier is shown. The power supply has an alternating current (AC) component generator, a direct current (DC) component generator, and a transition accelerator. The AC component generator generates an AC component of the modulated voltage according to an envelope tracking signal. The DC component generator generates a DC component of the modulated voltage according to the operational voltage range of the power amplifier. The transition accelerator is coupled to an output terminal of the DC component generator to speed up the transition of the modulated voltage.

A supply modulator, a modulated power supply circuit, and associated control method are provided. The modulated power supply circuit includes the supply modulator and a DC-DC voltage converter, and the supply modulator includes a linear amplifier and a switching converter. The linear amplifier generates an AC component of a modulated voltage according to a regulated voltage and an envelope tracking signal. The supply voltage is converted to the regulated voltage by the DC-DC voltage converter, and the regulated voltage is greater than or less than the supply voltage. The switching converter includes a step-down circuit and a path selection circuit. The path selection circuit selects one of the supply voltage and the regulated voltage as a DC input voltage. The step-down circuit converts the DC input voltage to a DC component of the modulated voltage which is less than the DC input voltage.

The compensation circuit generates a first compensation signal according to a loading state of the voltage converter. The first comparator circuit compares the first compensation signal and a first reference signal to generate a first comparison signal. The first driver circuit generates a first driving voltage to the first inductor according to the first comparison signal. The phase-lag circuit is coupled between the first comparison circuit and the first driver. The phase-lag circuit modifies a duty of the first comparison signal for changing a first inductor current following the first inductor.
