摘要: Disclosed is a method of controlling operation of a medical device that regulates delivery of a fluid medication to a user. The method receives meter-generated values that are indicative of a physiological characteristic of the user, and are produced in response to operation of an analyte meter device. The method obtains sensor-generated values that are indicative of the physiological characteristic of the user, and are produced in response to operation of a continuous analyte sensor device, different than the analyte meter device. The medical device is operated in different modes when: a valid meter-generated value is available; a valid meter-generated value is unavailable and a current sensor-generated value satisfies first quality criteria; or a valid meter-generated value is unavailable and the current sensor-generated value satisfies second quality criteria but does not satisfy the first quality criteria.

摘要: Systems, devices and methods are provided for monitoring a physiological condition of a patient. An exemplary method involves a client computing device monitoring a first network for an indication data is available from a monitoring device associated with the patient, and in response to detecting the indication, establishing a communications session with the monitoring device on the first network and receiving the measurement data from the monitoring device over the first network. The client computing device then uploads the measurement data to a remote device on a second network distinct from the first network. In exemplary embodiments, the client computing device also obtains event log data at the client computing device and uploads the event log data to the remote device on the second network. In one embodiment, the first network is a personal area network and the second network is a communications network.

摘要: A method for confirming effectiveness of therapy provided by an insulin infusion system comprising a computing device communicatively coupled to an insulin delivery pump and a blood glucose sensor, is provided. In response to a corrective action for a detected abnormality in a blood glucose level of a patient, the method monitors a sequence of blood glucose levels of the patient, following the corrective action, by the computing device via the blood glucose sensor; detects an indication that the corrective action is effective to correct the abnormality, by the computing device, wherein the indication comprises a change of direction in the sequence of blood glucose levels, wherein a first trend in the sequence of blood glucose levels shifts at the indication to create a second trend in blood glucose levels, the second trend progressing in an opposite direction of the first trend; and initiates presentation of an alert in response to the detected indication, by the computing device via a communicatively coupled display device.

摘要: Infusion devices and related patient management systems and methods are provided. An exemplary method of presenting information pertaining to operation of an infusion device to deliver fluid to a body of a patient involves identifying a plurality of event patterns within different monitoring periods based on measurement values for the patient's condition, prioritizing the identified event patterns based on one or more prioritization criteria, filtering the prioritized list of identified event patterns based on one or more filtering criteria, and then providing a respective pattern guidance display for each identified event pattern remaining in the filtered prioritized list.
