摘要: Apparatus and methods detect sleep disordering events. The apparatus may be configured to access one or more physiological signals generated by one or more sensors. The apparatus may be configured to detect, from the one or more physiological signals, seed events suggestive of sleep disordering events. The apparatus may be configured to compute features indicative of patterns within portions of the one or more physiological signals that are associated with the detected seed events. The apparatus may be configured to apply to a classifier, the computed features indicative of patterns of the seed events. The classifier may be trained to compute a degree of fit of the computed features to learned repetitive patterns of sleep disordering events. The apparatus may be configured to output an identification of sleep disordering event(s) corresponding with the seed events based on the computed degree of fit determined by the classifier.

摘要: A percutaneous circulatory support system includes an impeller and a motor operably coupled to the impeller. A controller is operably coupled to the motor, and the controller is configured to: drive the motor, the motor thereby rotating the impeller to cause blood to flow; determine that an operating parameter of the system deviates from a symmetric waveform; and in response to determining that the operating parameter deviates from the symmetric waveform, provide an alert of aortic valve insufficiency.

摘要: Systems and method for conducting respiratory therapy in a respiratory system can adjust a flow of respiratory gases to a patient based upon a detected patient breath cycle. The respiratory system can include a non-sealed patient interface. The respiratory system can be configured to deliver a high flow therapy. A patient breath cycle may be determined using one or more measured parameters, such as a flow rate, a blower motor speed, and/or a system pressure. A flow source may be adjusted to have a phase matching that of the patient's breath cycle, such that flow in increased in response to the patient inhaling, and decreased in response to the patient exhaling.

摘要: A respiratory assistance apparatus has a gases inlet configured to receive a supply of gases, a blower unit configured to generate a pressurised gases stream from the supply of gases; a humidification unit configured to heat and humidify the pressurised gases stream; and a gases outlet for the heated and humidified gases stream. A flow path for the gases stream extends through the respiratory device from the gases inlet through the blower unit and humidification unit to the gases outlet. A sensor assembly is provided in the flow path before the humidification unit. The sensor assembly has an ultrasound gas composition sensor system for sensing one or more gas concentrations within the gases stream.

摘要: A respiratory interface assembly includes a patient interface and a headgear arrangement. A seal or cushion of the interface assembly can include thickened portions positioned and arranged to improve sealing and/or user comfort. The headgear arrangement can be connectable to the nasal mask by a connection arrangement configured to provide stability to the nasal mask such that a forehead support is not required. The connection arrangement can inhibit or prevent improper connections. The headgear arrangement can have one or more resilient straps having a composite construction of an outer fabric and a plastic core. The outer fabric can be knitted. A rear portion of the headgear arrangement can include a knitted panel or a spacer fabric panel.

摘要: A breast pump device (1) comprises an expression kit (2), a vacuum unit (3), and a conduit (5) for establishing an air path between an air outlet (27) of the expression kit (2) and an air inlet (35) of the vacuum unit (3). The expression kit (2) is equipped with a barrier portion (26) for preventing milk leakage from the expression kit (2) towards the hose (5) and the vacuum unit (3). In case some droplets of milk enter the barrier portion (26) and/or drawn through the barrier portion (26) by an ongoing pumping action, aspects of the behavior of the motor (32) for driving the pump (31) are influenced, and the insight that this happens is used for terminating operation of the motor (32) as soon as a too large deviation of one or more operational characteristics of the motor (32) with respect to a reference is found.

摘要: A control device for a ventricular assist device (VAD) with settable speed levels. The control device includes an input configured to receive at least one measuring signal related to a physiological condition of the circulatory system of a patient receiving heart assistance by the VAD, where the control device is configured to derive an actual value of at least one characteristic parameter of the heart from one or more of the at least one measuring signal and to provide a refined actual value of the at least one characteristic parameter in which effects of physiologically caused fluctuations are eliminated or reduced. The control device further includes an output configured to output an updated setting value for the speed level, where the control device is configured to produce the updated setting value based on the refined actual value and a predeterminable set-point value.
