Abstract: A fastener driver includes a housing defining a head portion and a handle portion, a drive mechanism positioned within the housing, and a firing mechanism. The firing mechanism includes a primary guide member supported within the head portion of the housing, a secondary guide member spaced from the primary guide member and supported within the head portion of the housing, a piston slidable along the primary guide member and the secondary guide member, a driver blade attached to the piston and configured to be movable along a drive axis, and a biasing member configured to move the piston and the driver blade from a top dead center (TDC) position toward a bottom dead center (BDC) position. A lifter assembly is operated by the drive mechanism to return the piston and the driver blade towards the TDC position, against the bias of the biasing member.

Abstract: One example power tool includes an actuator configured to be actuated by a user to adjust a motor operating mode of a motor and a light operating mode of a work light. The power tool may also include an electronic processor configured to adjust the motor operating mode in response to determining that the actuator has been actuated in a first manner, and adjust the light operating mode in response to determining that the actuator has been actuated in a second manner that is different than the first manner. A different manner of actuation of the second actuator between the second manner and the first manner may include at least one of the group consisting of a different pressure applied to the second actuator, a different movement direction of the second actuator, a different amount of actuations of the second actuator within a predetermined time period, and combinations thereof.

Abstract: A powered fastener driver including a housing, a cylinder, a piston movable within the cylinder from a TDC position to a BDC position, a driver blade attached to the piston for movement therewith along a driving axis from the TDC position toward the BDC position for driving a fastener into a workpiece, a lifter operable to move the piston and driver blade, in unison, from the BDC position toward the TDC position, a drive unit operably coupled to the lifter, and a printed circuit board (PCB) positioned within the housing. The PCB receives electrical current from the battery pack and includes power switches for commutating the motor. The PCB defines a length and a width, and a vibration attenuating damper is positioned between the housing and the printed circuit board. The damper is positioned along the length of the PCB and is configured to support the PCB within the housing.

Abstract: A fastener driver includes a magazine having a magazine cover and a magazine body. The magazine cover includes a top surface having an opening defined therein. The magazine body is slidably movable relative to the magazine cover from a closed position to an open position. A latch is coupled to the top surface of the magazine cover and extends through the opening in the top surface of the magazine cover. The latch includes a latch projection that defines a first contact surface. A pusher body is slidably coupled to the magazine body and includes an arm member that defines a second contact surface. A biasing member biases the pusher toward a nosepiece when the magazine body is in the closed position. The first and second contact surfaces are engageable to hold the pusher body in a latched position when the magazine body is in the open position.

A lifter is operable to move the piston and driver blade, in unison, from the BDC position toward the TDC position. A drive unit is supported by the drive unit support portion and operably coupled to the lifter. The drive unit includes a motor having first output shaft that extends along a motor axis. The motor is positioned below the handle. The handle axis and the motor axis intersect the driving axis.
