摘要： The present invention is a method of modifying cellulosic fibrous materials characterized by impregnating a cellulosic fibrous material with a modifier containing a polyoxymethylene dialkyl diether having at least three oxymethylene groups per molecule and reacting same with the fibrous material in the presence of an acid substance. Also covered are novel modifier compositions containing a polyoxymethylene dialkyl diether of the type described above and an acid catalyst.
