Abstract: The invention concerns an industrial steel plant comprising one or more components and a monitoring apparatus of data, said data being parameters acquired by detectors and, possibly, control signals to and from control and actuation systems. In particular, the apparatus is suitable to be used to diagnose faults and control industrial steel plants and processes that use a large number of detectors, and comprises a plurality of processing units and a central process unit. The invention also concerns a diagnostic algorithm able to be executed by a monitoring apparatus according to the invention and a method and a monitoring apparatus according to the invention.
