Abstract: An indication of a physical access action performed by a person in proximity of a camera determines a manner in which the physical access action is performed. An operational profile of the camera is set to control capture at the proximity of the camera based on the manner in which the physical access action is performed. This includes selecting the operational profile from a first operational profile and a second operational profile that is different from the first operational profile.

Abstract: A system and method for establishing a dynamic privacy zone for an object. In operation, an electronic computing device receives a request from an electronic tag associated with an object to establish a dynamic privacy zone for the object. The request includes location data indicating a real-time location of the object. The electronic computing device identifies a camera having a field of view overlapping with the real-time location of the object. The electronic computing device converts the real-time location of the object into a corresponding pixel location on the field of view of the camera. The electronic computing device then establishes a dynamic privacy zone for the object within the field of view of the camera as a function of the corresponding pixel location.

Abstract: Systems and methods for processing digital image data representing multiple views of an object of interest use a sparse set of digital images along with object of interest profiling to provide a photo gallery for evidence-related workflows. Digital images are related to each other on the basis of common objects of interest represented in the images and their orientations within the views depicted in each image. Object of interest profile datasets, including spatial orientation data, enable efficient tracking of photography sessions in which a set of prescribed views of an object of interest are meant to be captured, as well as object-orientation-based photo gallery navigation. The systems recognize of a set of physical gestures that enable a user to intuitively navigate among digital images depicting different views of an object of interest based on how they were physically related to each other when captured.

Abstract: Systems and methods for dynamically assigning priority for shared spectrum communication systems. One method includes receiving, via a communication interface of a base station, a call request from a first communication device identifying a second communication device and a first spectrum priority level for the first communication device. The method includes establishing a call, having the first priority level, between the first and second communication devices. The method includes determining a second spectrum priority level for the second communication device, and, when the second priority level is lower than the first priority level, transmitting, to a spectrum manager, a priority assignment request to assign the first priority level to the second communication device after the call is terminated. The method includes, when a priority expiration threshold has been met, transmitting a second priority assignment request to the spectrum manager to assign the second priority level to the second communication device.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method includes detecting, by operation of video analytics, an object within a portion of initial video captured by a security camera. The security camera is within and forms a part of a security system site. The computer-implemented method also includes transmitting, to at least one computing device that is remote from the security system site, a request that includes video data. The request relates to the object and the initial video. A response is received from the at least one computing device. The response includes computer readable instructions, retrieved from storage remote from the security system site, for at least one temporary analytic. The at least one temporary analytic is initiated to act upon the initial video or subsequent video captured by the security camera.

Abstract: A process for protecting confidentiality of audio messages that are received at an electronic computing device for providing a corresponding audio output at electronic audio output devices. In operation, the electronic computing device partitions the audio message into audio content segments, where each audio content segment is assigned to a respective confidentiality level. The electronic computing device determines a current exposure level of the electronic audio output device. The electronic computing device further determines whether the audio message is to be modified based on a current exposure level of the electronic audio output device and the respective confidentiality level assigned to each audio content segment. An audio output corresponding to the modified audio message is provided at the electronic audio output device when it is determined that the audio message is to be modified.

Abstract: Methods and systems of breaking pursuit of a target. One example embodiment includes an electronic processor configured to develop a first identifier for the target and determine a breaking junction and an intercept point associated with a cornering route. The processor is configured to determine a geographical area associated with at least one possible target flee route for the target and determine a second identifier for an object within the geographical area. The processor is configured to develop a discrimination factor representing a degree of differentiation of the first identifier from the second identifier. The processor is configured to predict whether the discrimination factor will exceed a threshold when the pursuit asset arrives at the breaking junction. The processor is configured to, in response to the discrimination factor exceeding the threshold, notify the pursuit asset to break pursuit of the target at the breaking junction to execute the cornering route.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for notifying a user that a device needs to be serviced is provided herein. During operation, a device will determine that at least the first device has been serviced or needs to be serviced. When this occurs, the device will determine members of a personal-area-network (PAN) that includes/included the first device, and notify a user that the PAN members should be serviced as well.

Abstract: Methods and systems for anonymizing an identity of a caller using a voice print match. One system includes a surveillance system including a camera and a microphone; and a dispatch computer. The dispatch computer is configured to receive a voice call from the caller, generate a voice print from the voice call, compare the voice print to a plurality of stored voice prints, and, in response to the voice print not matching any of the plurality of stored voice prints, transmit the voice print to the surveillance system. The surveillance system is configured to receive the voice print, capture audio data via the microphone, compare the audio data to the voice print, and, in response to identifying a match between the voice print and the audio data, tag image data, captured via the camera, corresponding to the audio data for redaction.
