Abstract: A device, system, and method for sharing information of a selected media modality via communication devices is provided. A device determines a type of a community member associated with an incident, the incident further associated with a first responder. The device determines a plurality of media modalities of information associated with the incident. The device selects, from the plurality of media modalities of the information, a media modality of the information based on the type of the community member. The device causes sharing of the media modality of the information with the community member via one or more of a first responder communication device, associated with the first responder, and a community member communication device, associated with the community member.

Abstract: One example radio frequency (RF) site controller is configured to communicate with a first communication device over a control channel to establish a traffic channel over which the first communication device is configured to communicate with a second communication device. The RF site controller may control the control channel to switch between operating in (i) a keyed state (in other words a full-power state) for a first dynamic period of time and (ii) a de-keyed state (in other words, a lower-powered state) for a second dynamic period of time. At least one of the first dynamic period of time and the second dynamic period of time may be based on a characteristic of at least one of a group consisting of a coverage area being serviced by the RF site controller and one or more communication devices being serviced by the RF site controller.

Abstract: A device, method and system for determining a primary location of a public-safety unit is provided. An example device receives, from a plurality of devices associated with a public-safety unit, a plurality of locations associated with the public-safety unit, the public-safety unit comprising the plurality of devices and one or more public-safety personnel. The example device determines a context associated with the public-safety unit. The example device selects a single location, from the plurality of locations, that represents a primary location of the public-safety unit based on the context as determined. The example device one or more of: causes the primary location to be provided at an electronic map; and provides the primary location to one or more of a computer-aided dispatch (CAD) device and a public-safety server.
