Abstract: An incident management system with graphical user interface mechanisms for control of the routing of incoming calls and other information regarding a plurality of ongoing incidents. Thumbnail icons, each corresponding to a different defined geographic area, are displayed and, in response to a user input selecting a thumbnail icon, a map is displayed identifying a defined geographic area corresponding to the selected thumbnail icon with a plurality of call icons and at least one incident icon. The call icons each correspond to a different active incoming call from within the defined geographic area and are each positioned on the map accordingly. At least one of the displayed call icons is assigned to an incident group and an incident icon is displayed for each ongoing incident managed by the system to which at least one displayed call icon has been assigned.

Abstract: Systems and methods for managing rate-controlled and scheduled workloads in distributed computing systems. One example method provides a distributed two-phase algorithm, which utilizes an external timer service and local high-resolution timers to orchestrate time critical workloads on distributed computing systems. The first phase is a planning phase implemented as a recurrent process by means of repeated registrations to the external timer service. During the planning phase, a portion or all of the workload to be performed is broken down into small batches to be assigned to computing instances for execution at a later time. The second phase is a batch execution phase. Each batch planned during the planning phase includes fine-grained instructions as to when each item within the batch is to be executed. The computing instance receiving the batch uses local high-resolution timers to synchronize the execution of items relative to one another.

Abstract: Systems and methods for message processing. In one example, a system includes a state cluster network, a synchronization cluster network, and an engine cluster network. The engine cluster network includes an electronic processor configured to receive a first message corresponding to either a session initiation protocol message or a timeout message, retrieve, from the state cluster network, a session initiation protocol data object, initialize a state machine using the session initiation protocol data object and process the first message, transmit a timer request to the synchronization cluster network for managing a timer, transmit a second session initiation protocol message to a target entity based on the received first message, and transmit a second session initiation protocol message to the state cluster network.

Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods described herein provide protocol endpoints that execute locally within private networks and perform a set of transport-related operations specified an application-layer protocol to which messages exchanged between local applications executing within private networks and cloud applications executing in cloud computing systems conform. However, systems, devices, and methods described herein also leverage computing resources of the cloud by having the cloud applications (rather than the protocol endpoints) perform a second set of operations specified by the application-layer protocol. By functioning in this manner, systems, devices, and methods described herein facilitate real-time bidirectional communication flow between local applications executing within private networks and cloud applications without exposing the private networks to the public Internet and without using a VPN (thereby avoiding the problematic overhead of a VPN) with respect to real-time communications.
