Abstract: An embedded system running method includes: allocating, according to a resource dynamic allocation rule, a group of services to be allocated to corresponding operating systems in an embedded system, wherein the embedded system includes a first operating system and a second operating system, and a response speed of the first operating system is higher than a response speed of the second operating system; determining resource allocation results corresponding to the group of services to be allocated, where the resource allocation results are used for indicating, among processing resources of the processor, a processing resource corresponding to each of the group of services to be allocated; and allocating the processing resources of a processor to the first operating system and the second operating system according to an operating system allocation result and the resource allocation result corresponding to each of the group of services to be allocated.

Abstract: Embodiments herein provide a method and system of dynamically managing and allocating resources within a server cluster network. The method can include determining one or more operational requirements with respect to a first task and identifying a plurality of nodes within the server cluster network with respect to meeting the one or more operational requirements of the first task. The method can further include obtaining a traffic pattern with respect to each of the plurality of nodes with respect to one or more second tasks, and identifying a first node from the plurality of nodes for executing the first task. In addition, the method may include mapping the traffic patterns to a power requirement with respect to each of the plurality of nodes within the server cluster network. Further, the method may include generating a neural network model based on the mapped traffic patterns to power requirements.

Abstract: A processor includes a plurality of execution pipes and a distributed scheduler coupled to the plurality of execution pipes. The distributed scheduler includes a first queue to buffer instruction operations from a front end of an instruction pipeline of the processor and a plurality of second queues, wherein each second queue is to buffer instruction operations allocated from the first queue for a corresponding separate subset of execution pipes of the plurality of execution pipes. The distributed scheduler further includes a queue controller to select an allocation mode from a plurality of allocation modes based on whether at least one indicator of an imbalance at the distributed scheduler is detected, and further to control the distributed scheduler to allocate instruction operations from the first queue among the plurality of second queues in accordance with the selected allocation mode.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is hardware for easing the process of changing the execution mode of a virtual machine and its associated resources. By adopting the hardware, it is possible to trigger a change in the execution mode in an automatic way, without software intervention, and without interfering with the execution of other virtual machines. In addition, in case an error has occurred for a virtual machine and it is detected, the hardware can be used to disable the resources associated with that virtual machine and generate notification of the completion this operation to other hardware, which will complete the reset of the virtual machine. By adopting the hardware, the execution mode change is simplified and offers configurability and flexibility for a system running multiple virtual machines.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems, methods, and computer readable media for predicting expansion failures and implementing defragmentation instructions based on the predicted expansion failures and other signals. For example, systems disclosed herein may apply a failure prediction model to determine an expansion failure prediction associated with an estimated likelihood that deployment failures will occur on a node cluster. The systems disclosed herein may further generate defragmentation instructions indicating a severity level that a defragmentation engine may execute on a cluster level to prevent expansion failures while minimizing negative customer impacts. By uniquely generating defragmentation instructions for each node cluster, a cloud computing system can minimize expansion failures, increase resource capacity, reduce costs, and provide access to reliable services to customers.

A load balancer can input data to the plurality of computing devices configured to process the input data according to a load-balancing distribution. The load balancer can receive from a first computing device of the plurality of computing devices, data characterizing memory bandwidth for a memory device on the first computing device and over a period of time. The load balancer can determine, at least from the data characterizing the memory bandwidth and a memory bandwidth saturation point for the first computing device, that the first computing device can process additional data within a predetermined latency threshold. In response to the determining, the load balancer can send the additional data to the first computing device.

Abstract: A computing device includes an interface configured to interface and communicate with a storage network, a memory that stores operational instructions, and a processing module operably coupled to the interface and memory such that the processing module, when operable within the computing device based on the operational instructions, is configured to perform various operations. A computing device receives a data access request for an encoded data slice associated with a data object, determines whether the encoded data slice is stored in the first memory and in response to a determination that the encoded data slice is not stored in the first memory, issues another data access request for the encoded data slice to a second memory, where the first memory includes access characteristics that are faster than the second memory. When a data access response including the encoded data slice is received from the second memory, a response including the encoded data slice is transmitted.
